a farmer found a hole in a rock and decided to explore. What he found inside is breathtaking and amazing. An entire jungle ecosystem possible the largest in the world. Mother earth still has suprises in store for us

It has room for a skyscraper with 40 floors and it contains both jungle and a river. The Son Doong caves in Vietnam are the largest in the world and a tour inside this place is something out of the ordinary.

The enormous cave is situated in the Vietnamese national park Phon Nha-Ke Bang, 280 miles south of the capital Hano

Wouldn't it be great to find something like that on your property. I surely would not tell the government about it, they would raise my property taxes so high that I would have to sell my property. Now, this was just rediscovered, I am sure someone sometime has been in there and maybe there are some interesting artifacts and even bones in there.

They weren't as blind as we are now in the past. That would be a great place to raise a family, a little cottage built inside there would be so cute.

Yes it would be something else to find a cave like that under your house. There was someone in Turkey that found an entire city under his house..

You never know we might get lucky..

Great pictures. S+F

Here's my contribution...

Drone video of the world's largest cave

I made an earlier thread using this video. The YouTube link stopped working, so instead of a shameless plug, I'll include the direct video link. There are three other AMAZING videos at the top of the page.

Wow picture 4 looks like it was made by cave dwarfs-its even got a spiral path leading to the top where the person is lying.
Must be the way the water drops have run down it over the eons of time.

What a place-If I found that I doubt I would share it with the whole internet(you know,to keep the riff raff out),but I would move in for sure!

I bet there are loads of undiscovered species in there.
What a find.

Thats not the food buddy-its the stuff living on/in the food that your tum isn't used to.

I had the same deal in Borneo, but then I did eat from some dives which I later found out they cut up all the food-meat fish, veg out the back,on the bloody, rat infested pavement..

Mind you, they also had some amazing food in more remote locations.

$2300 for an excursion wherein people actually camp for 5 nights inside the cave. My urge to travel was completely erased in the last few years, but I certainly would love to make this one trip though should I ever win the lottery. That is an utterly beautiful and magical place.

....You know all those myths and legends that say mankind lived underground and came out at the dawn of this new age? I think they were true. Only hope the world I find is like the Son Doong caves. A breathtaking underground ecosystem.

I am of the same opinion that in the last age peeps went deep down into the ground for saftey. Not everyone came out though..

Now all you need is This guy right here to carve out some of those monster stones and turn them into little cottages, so you don't disrupt the scenery!!

That 5 day trip is now officially the top stop on my "when I'm not broke anymore" list!

Looking at a few of those pictures, it may be that someone in the past was already remodeling the cave

I'm curious as to what exactly those little balls are in the spirals in picture 4? You have any idea? I was hoping there would be a caption for them at the link, but there wasn't for them specifically anyway. Great post btw.
