Or another argument coming from some general in the pentagon might say:

"Just because we dropped radioactive materials on St Louis and tested a gelatinous viral infected pudding on a small city in Washington state, and many other towns I can't mention do to secrecy laws, doesn't mean we are poisoning America all the time every day with chemtrails."

I feel better now knowing those guys at the pentagon and other military high places aren't totally crazy. I mean, they could really be nuts.

What is the point of posting something for discussion if you haven't even read it to know whether it is something worth discussion or some person saying duck poop causes chemtrails and the native insect population in Antarctica is the cause of Global Warming?

Others share your opinion on what constitutes a valid thread I just disagree with it. If you read the duck poop and insect population information and still think it's worth discussion that is one thing, but when you just throw a bunch of stuff at the wall and hope something sticks it is quite another in my opinion. Do or don't let it deter you from doing the same in the future I just dislike seeing people post threads then say "oh I haven't actually read it yet".

The ionosphere is in SPACE, they go up in rockets, and this is done to study SPACE - not to geoengineer anything.

So yeah - right there you show that you do not know what you are talking about.

But other than glad this is shedding more light on the urgent matter which is STOP CHEM TRAILS.

Seems you may want to practice what you preach and do some research there.

First showing scientific proof that chemtrails exist has to happen before someone can shed light on them...which hasn't happened in the 20 or more years this hoax has been around.

Imagine in 20 years nobody, and I mean nobody has ever presented scientific evidence that they exist...which would be easy to do if they did as all one has to do is test one after it has been sprayed.

And do you know why that hasn't happened...because it's too easy to take gullible people's money than it is to find the truth.

You have a valid point aboUT the altitude, but I think the comment was referring to ambient RH present in the atmosphere before being inducted into the engine. But, it is a moot point either way, as the original statement is scientifically invalid.

RHi is relative humidity with respect to ice, 100% equates to around 60-70% RHw. Persistent contrails form in conditions of ice supersaturation where the RHi can be well over 100%

For the record, I never said that I thought the images were contrails. I may have implied it with my smart-### closing comment though.

It is the result of burning fossil fuel. For every pound of fuel burned 1.25 pounds of water is created, thus the additional humidity.

As blargo has said, burning hydrocarbons in oxygen produces water along with carbon dioxide. C and H plus O gives H2O and CO2. Mix that with air that already contains enough water vapour and you get condensation. The condensation quickly freezes to produce ice crystals. Introduce those ice crystals into air with a high RHi and the ice has nowhere to go so they persist. If the RHi is high enough then the crystals can grow by x10000 and be spread by wind shear.

Hi there, just a quick one. I watched some beautiful contrails from a plane flying over head yesterday. Going by a believers logic, can you explain the purpose of spraying chemicals on the Irish? Population control? lol

Most of us have been drinking and smoking ourselves to death from a relatively young age, so I'd be interested to know what their aim is, what do they hope to achieve? Yeah a lot of us fit the stereotype, my liver has taken a battering for quite some time.

So yes, contrails exist and persist even over here. What would their reason be for spraying us Irish, I'll tell you, no reason, ain't happening
