I think there are a lot of people out there with your views, O.P., even though they are a bit over-the-top... but I predict a Republican President and Congress in 2016.

I'm not sure there is a difference or a choice either. It looks to me that there is no choice in this and it could very well go the way the thread proposes. Whether we like it or not.

Gotcha. Glad to hear. We need more people to wake up and see the reality of the situation instead of the fantasy world where politicians chose ideals over money.

IMO the political cheerleaders in this country are the reason we continue with the politician trash pool cycle we are on.

But I agree , If Hillary decides to run. The minute that Hillary mentions she is running then the race is over. She is to well connected to risk running and not get the position. So if she does run, then she already knows the turn out of the election.

If I have the up to the minute crap down, Hillary is being pilloried as we speak. Largely for a private server in her home while The Secretary of State and using it in violation of Federal law.

The criticism is actually coming from the left media and pundits!!

Age and centrist views may be the issue with her. Elizabeth Warren is next in line and a hard line socialist/anti-wall street type. Much in line with the scenario above that I can see....

Again, with enough freebies, the nominee is irrelevant....

Normally I would agree but the Clintons have been shown to be better than teflon.

But like I said, if she says she is ruining (Freudian slip) than there is a good chance she already knows the outcome via her connections. Especially after this personal server incident.

However it does look like she might have pissed of the wrong teflon President .

Could be over the top. I hope so. Trouble is it could be just the next bar level. I've been around long enough to see it stretched beyond anything I could have imagined in 64 years.....

I say we take a break. just 4 years with no president. make a few stewards just to keep things running, no new policy, no new wars, just lets take a break..and only one rule..a full 3 year ban on any/all forms of presidential running discussions.

might work..might even find a way to get senate/congress to take a couple years off also and just have a sense of quiet

There you have it. A conservative's prediction.

Pass the tissues...

As the family unit has already been relegated to nothing more than the source of Domestic Abuse, it will be time to fix these injustices by creating a National Day Care Act. This will properly help those women in need with children....long over due. As there are now probably millions in this group, another big jump in the percentiles.

Madness. You liberals are dangerously destructive and indoctrinated.

It doesn't matter what YOU think you are Trucker, only what others need you to be in their own rhetoric.

Trust me on this one. Personal reference.

I can't argue that logic suggests the Democrats will win in 2016.

You would be surprised to discover, however, that I wish it were not so. Because all that will achieve is more gridlock in this country, the People's business will continue to be set aside in favor of the careers of professional politicians.

This is good for none of us.

Best,

PS: Hillary's use of the private email server is NOT in violation of any law.

I can think of 25000+ people that disagree with you..
In the usaf alone.

Hate to beat the drum but until congress addresses how the cuts are done you will see fewer soldiers yet still have a sky high dod budget.

I don't disagree.

A private server has only one purpose. The erasure of E-mails.

If that private server was used for gov't communication or subject, it is in violation of federal law.
It's the 'left' media and pundits that are stirring this one up, NOT the right.

Draw your own conclusions.....

With due respect you're simply mistaken about the issue of the "private server" ... here's the updated 2014 law Presidential and Federal Records Act Amendments of 2014

Here's one of the things that Act does:

Clarifying the responsibilities of Federal government officials when using non-government email systems.

And, please, the fact of Clinton's emails has been known since 2013. Yes, the Times "broke" this story, but, if you honestly look who's carrying the torch (and pitchforks) it's hardly the "left" media ...

Now, I am exiting your thread to avoid off-topic posts. Thanks for your OP!

I'm a conservative as well and I generally agree with you for a much simpler reason.

Conservatives are tired of voting for the "R" just because. The last two elections with the fear of Obama, a lot(not all) of them just sucked it up and voted for the R. This time around, the conservatives I know(please let me know if you are one of them as well) want to vote FOR a candidate, not against another.

No amount of fear mongering is going to change a lot of their minds on this, and many will just vote for a 3rd party if they don't get a candidate they can happily get behind.

For THAT reason, IF the Republican candidate is not Conservative, I believe the Democrat will win because the Republicans won't be united and will go third party.

Did you know since WWII only ONCE did a party keep the Presidency after a two term President left office. That was Reagan to one term Bush Sr. Every other time, the other party won the Presidency.

Going by historic trends, I'd say that the Republicans are going to win the Presidency.

Historic re-election pattern doesn’t favor Democrats in 2016

History Is Not On The Democrats’ Side In 2016

So long as the Republicans keep pumping out the level of crazy stupid they have been pumping out for the past couple years, they shall continue to scare people over to the Democrat side. As much as the condescending attitude, overspending madness, and lack of resolve on the left pisses me off, it is nothing compared to the dangerous lunacy I've seen on the right. So yeah, another 4 years of Democrat control of the white house certainly sounds tedious, but is better than the alternative.

Hard to argue. A third party locks in another Democrat Presidency. Seeing how the legislative branch has been trumped by the Executive, it could be a swan song election in 2016.

I am not optimistic...

Maybe your right. So much has changed, though, the rules these games were played by compared to what Obama has been doing...I don't know if historical reference applies or to what degree.

Meh... It's no different than how the public felt towards the end of the Bush Presidency and all the boundaries he overstepped. You just got yourself believing the right wing rhetoric that the rules were even changed in the first place. The rules were never changed. Obama is no different than any previous Presidents really.

But hey, those are just historic trends right? The Democracts can always break tradition, but looking at how much Americans love to vote in patterns, I am going to just give Republicans the edge in this election. After all, politics is just one big pendulum of power. It swings in one direction until it can swing no further in that direction. The public becomes fed up, and starting with the six-year itch where the other party takes over Congress, the public switches to the other party. Thus the pendulum swings back and we repeat.

Apparently, there are those that disagree with you. AP is suing Hillary for the files. The files she did turn over were paper printed which makes the key word and the like useless. They have to be rescanned back into a system or physically reviewed. 10s of Ks of them.....
