Clarkson who is on his final warning at the BBC has been suspended pending an investigation into what has been described as a fracas by BBC bosses with what I can only guess is a producer of Top Gear , this Sundays show has been cancelled.

Clarkson was given what he called his "final warning" last May after claims he used a racist word while filming the popular BBC motoring show.
At the time, he said the BBC had told him he would be sacked if he made "one more offensive remark, anywhere, at any time".
The BBC gave no further details on the current incident involving Clarkson, and said it would not be making any further comment at this time.
This weekend's episode of Top Gear was set to feature Clarkson - who has fronted the show since 2002 - along with regular co-hosts Richard Hammond and James May at a classic track day.
www.bbc.co.uk...

In my opinion the show has become stale and boring paint by numbers "entertainment" and it's time for it to either be shelved or re-imagined with a new format and presenters , all good things come to an end and in the case of Top Gear that was a few years ago.

BOLLOCKS!

Top gear had HUGE viewing figures. It was one of the highest rated TV programs ,Obviously MANY disagree with you!

If you dont like it don't watch it!

Im sick of interfering attitudes like your imposing there view on "acceptable programming" on people.
If a programs doing well don't change it.

BBC have been pathetic. His last warning was BS as his comment was no way racist.

It because of over sensitive PC wishy washy hippy attitudes on the BBC that made me cancel my TV license.

Hopefully Clarkson and his co presenters take ther show to Channel 4 or ITV and mock the BBC.

Which is why I said.

In my opinion the show has become,,,,,

People still watch and enjoy the Simpsons , there are probably people out there who would watch paint dry if you televised it.
Top Gear was at one time the funniest program on British TV , if you watch it now you can see the presenters are just doing it for the paycheck .... the show has become like Clarkson , old and boring.

Highest watched show globally suggests otherwise, but yeah i got a bit bored with it. Clarkson is an arse, lovable but still an arse.

I'd love to have seen the fracas, I love a good fracas.

I think it a bit mealy mouth on the part of the BBC dropping the show though, it is most likely already in the can, and this latest incident seems to be something internal.

Agreed, maybe if they change it up with some young fresh faces but I think the show has peaked they had a good run and I think it's time to move forward.

I predict that this as other "incidents" it a well orchestrated publicity stunt.

Clarkson is not an arse, he is a very clever on screen persona, fictional.

Look at Ricky Gervais, he took cetain aspects of his personality and created a "charecter" so did Jonny Vegas.

I would be very suprised if the BBC got rid of Top gear anytime soon.

The BBC have a good thing with Top Gear, it is the only show worth watching and its the chemistry between the 3 presenters more than anything that makes the show what it is, take one of them away and its just not the same.

Its the highest watched TV show globally.

There are bound to be a few complaints every now and then so I think that Clarkson being on its last warning is a bit of a joke. Its like that whole thing with them going to Argentina or getting warned talking about Mexicans or saying all lorry drivers murder prostitutes and so on.

I am all for equality, but its seems at the BBC you can't open your mouth with out upsetting someone.

Whatever went on between him and the producer should have stayed between the two of them, no need to make it public and ruin what is a pretty awesome TV show.

BBC seem to be more about social engineering than entertainment or factual news.

This and there pitiful coverage of the pedo scandal just proves the above points.

I would love it if all 3 of the hosts left and went to do another show on another rival channel.

Apparently he wast told he would be sacked if he every said anything again that caused offence. How is that possible, he is a public figure every time he opens his mouth there is going to be somebody somewhere who is offended.

The BBC is broken just like Westminster.

I hate the British elite class, I hate the BBC they do not represent the working class in anyway what so ever its all very upper class and I find most of their broadcasts offensively snooty.

If ITV or Channel 4 have any brains they will pick it up and play on the whole thing and use it to mock the BBC for what it is.

I love this show! And I hope its just a publicity stunt. Though I gotta say it really

sounds like what went on between Charlie Sheen and his producer, Chuck Lorre, just British style. Stay away from any scenes at the metro, Jeremy!

Top Gear was a good show when it was made in Birmingham in the 1970's and 80's just for The Midlands region.

Clarkson joined the show a few years before it finished. He was an ok bloke in those days. Now, he is a complete knob.
And being a friend of David Cameron makes him a complete double knob.

I agree with that no bother, in fact you should have said, "This and there pitiful coverage of THEIR pedo scandal"
The talking heads there knew all about Sirvile...and all the rest.

Stewart Lee's stand up bit about Top Gear, is the only good thing I'd ever associate with Top Gear.
