I remember watching a film years ago that at first seemed like I was a news broadcast and ended up being a mocumentory. Bloody brilliant it was too.

It's now free on YouTube movies so I am downloading it to scare the wife later.

Thing is, I always thought it was a UK Satellite TV (Sky) news as I recognised the reporters and this one is an American one but that just might be my old recollection.

Anyway, if anyone has a spare hour tonight I suggest it might be worth a look if you have never heard of it, try and imagine you just flicked channel and didn't realise it was a movie like I did!

Haha...., by those years I used to discuss with my father about the chances to have a similar event. One evening I came back home with my girlfriend and he was in panic. He was watching that movie and he actually thought it was a news channel, not a movie. My poor old man almost got a heart attack, took a while to explain him it wasn't real....yet.

I randomly started it at around 11 min in...just to get a full effect. Yeah, back in '94...I would have bought it for about 5 min.

'Just watched it. A modern retelling (in a fashion) of the 1938 broadcast of the Orsen Welles'War of the World
Very well done, not at all like the fairly recent Tom Cruise in the remake of the original movie by the same name.
