RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) - Leaders of the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO), led by President Mahmoud Abbas, decided on Thursday to stop all forms of security coordination with Israel, Palestinian officials said...

...A statement issued by the 110-member PCC read: “Security coordination in all its forms with the authority of the Israeli occupation will be stopped in the light of its (Israel's) non-compliance with the agreements signed between the two sides."

Great, now the gap between Israel & Palestine continues to grow further apart. What agreements is Israel not abiding to? Well there's probably more than one reason, perhaps it's the illegal settlements that Netanyahooo continues to promote but I'm sure that's not the only reason. Less security for both Israel and Palestine because of this. Whether people know it or not, the PLO has worked closely with Israel in rounding up Hamas terrorists throughout the years but that all may come to an end. Truth be told, Israel clearly has Gaza and the West Bank under a microscope so they'll probably have no issues locating and arresting Palestinians.

They edited the article, amongst the reasons the PLO would like an end date to the Israeli occupation and of course there are border disputes. A two state solution may never be a reality in our lifetimes, sadly.

Either way, this is most likely a win for Netanyahooo, the warmongering Israeli leader who clearly is not concerned with any form of peace, let alone a two state solution. Less security will continue to give him a reason to have another war with his neighbors.

I heard a piece on CBC radio the other night talking about what Zionism means to Jewish Israelis. It was pretty interesting. It seems as though there is, at the very least, a small movement of post-zionist Jews, who appreciate the enlightenment their religious beliefs bring to them, but have disconnected from the fetish of sacred land being specifically for the Jewish people ONLY. One put it like this; "we have been without the 'promised land' for a few thousand years...what's the rush?'"

Seriously though... Why the rush to get the Israeli state to where they want it, by eradicating the Palestinians? I understand that there is animosity created from senseless deaths, leading to this push. But should the security of Israel not trump the land grab?

Might have something to do with the oil and gas in the occupied territories

Less security for both Israel and Palestine because of this.

Going on the casualty numbers from the previous conflicts I would suggest more so for the Palestinians, by a very long way.
