'Spirit' by The Waterboys

Man gets tired
Spirit don't
Man surrenders
Spirit won't
Man crawls
Spirit flies
Spirit lives when man dies
Man seems
Spirit is
Man dreams
The spirit lives
Man is tethered
Spirit is free
What spirit is man can be

Lay thy hand on the neck of thine enemies.
Devour their flesh with thy sword.
Bring down the slain from among thine adversaries.
They shall fall to rise no more.
Tetragrammaton.
Thy wrath inflame my passion.
Tetragrammaton.
Against all sinful flesh.
Let thy wrath consume all of thine enemies.
Scourge them with flames of fire.
Lay thy feet on the pile of those slain by thy mysteries.
We are pure by their blood.
Thus saith the Lord: I am Sabaoth.
Feel my holy wrath.
I am glorified.
I cannot be denied.
I am he who is.
Punishment for wickedness.
I am the one you dread.
You are as good as dead.
There is no God but the one that dies with me.
I have no life but the one I take with me to the grave.
We come into this world alone.
And we will die on our own.
I live.
I die.
Ain Elohim.

Thanks everyone for your contributions so far….

You guys are freaking Awesome!!!

There’s definitely some tracks posted that I’ll be adding to my “Spiritual mp3” play list; some of which I’d never even heard before today…what can I say - I’ve been living in coma, for far too long…Thanks again for all your replies….

I don’t exactly classify myself as Christian, but I still love these 2 tracks, which still contain some truth IMO

Glory of it All by David Crowder

The King is Here - Kim Walker-Smith w/ Lyrics

My 'spirituality' comes from a humanitarian perspective... this is one of the first songs that popped into my head when I read your thread title:

Brothers Unaware by the band "Live"

So many people
I know only a few
Yes I may say that I love this man
And that man
But what keeps me from loving you?

Date of birth, geography
The color of my skin, ideology
You got ten fingers, two legs, one nose
Like me
Just like me

And it's as simple as that
You see

And if I don't know who to Love
I love them all
And if I don't know who to trust
I trust them all
And if I don't know who to kill
I may kill myself instead

From the mouth of a baby
Will come the world saving words
That will save us all
And from the lungs of a child
Will come the everlasting breath of God

Increasing peace and honesty
And not carrying on Despite of me
Don't you know
This ain't about no race, no creed
No race, no creed

And it's as simple as that
You see

And if I don't know who to love
I love them all
And if I don't know who to trust
I trust them all
And if I don't know who to kill
No suicide
I'm already dead

The term "brothers unaware" suggests that we are all in this thing together (we are all siblings of the world) and yet we fight amongst one another because of derisive things like race, creed, geography, ideologies, etc.

To hate one another is to hate ourselves... since time immemorial.

A sad state of affairs indeed.

Hell, fear me. I am the one that will bring you down.
And when you fall, feel me. You’ll see my face on the battleground.
Hell, fear me. I am the one that will bring you down.
And when you fall, feel me. You’ll see my face on the battleground.

Let my name be feared at the gates of hell, as I exalt the Savior.
The One that died to buy my victory, and gave me a new name.
Let my name be feared at the gates of hell, as I exalt the Savior.
In the name of the Holy One of God,
I will cast you down at the foot of the cross He hung from.
I will stand behind my Savior, as He burns your kingdom down.
And I will see you on your knees before the King of Kings.
You will lose your throne to the chosen ones. The chosen ones will rise.

Tear it to the ground! This is the army we’ve been waiting for.
Tear it to the ground! We will storm the gates of hell and we will...
tear it to the ground! We stand behind the one that conquered death.
Tear it to the ground! And we will stand when there is nothing left.
Tear it to the ground! Tear it to the ground!

Justice! Justice! Justice! God, bring justice!
Justice! We will come against the bondage of hell.
Justice! And we will take back what’s taken from us.
Justice! This is our right as heirs to dominion. God, bring justice!

This war will end.

I am the one that will bring you down.
And when you fall, feel me. You’ll see my face on the battleground.

Hell, fear me. I am the one that will bring you down.
And when you fall, feel me. You’ll see my face on the battleground.

Justice!

Rock is Dead! Jesus went full on Heavy Metal...

and he's heavier than Heavy Metal!

Heavy Metal reaches out to a much broader audience, specially the kids.
