It is just simple logic:

IF Iran now knows that the U.S. has already stopped Israel from bombing Iranian nuclear facilities once...and is threatening to stop any future attacks on them...Iran can rest easy, knowing the U.S. will continue to keep their facilities safe from IAF bombing raids...as they continue to string Obama/ Kerry along in 'negotiations' until they have their nukes.

You can knock off the till they get nukes propaganda. The pro Israeli people have been crying this for decades and still no bomb.

What total bunk. A look at a map and little common sense can tell you this is crap. Now if you tell me the US refused to assist in an attack that would be possible. Or if the nations who airspace Israel would violate denied them permission that would be possible.

Israel won't be allowed to attack Irán until the times right and the propaganda machine has done it's bit and wound everyone up into a frenzy.

Everything has its place in the list, thats why after "desert storm" Powell and Schwartkopf were'nt allowed to finish off Sadam..If they've had done it in '91 then the invasión and what happened next after 9/11 would ' nt have been possible.

First off I'm and American, and am a student of history. After the second world war the Jew said never again, will they allow themselves at the mercy of those who seek their destruction. This is the overriding factor in almost everything they do militarily, this is the Israeli perspective.

Way back in the 1980s before most of you were born, Saddam Hussein was attempting to build a nuclear reactor. The purpose of this reactor was to create "energy" (sound familiar). But in reality is was a cover for the Iraqi Nuclear Weapons program. The French were selling Iraq a reactor, Israel asked France not to but the French were in it for the money. So the Israeli government sent MODAS to France. In France the Reactor that was going to be sent to Iraq was sitting in a warehouse (no nuclear material in the reactor at this point) and MODAS set a bomb off to destroy the reactor. While the Bomb did not destroy the reactor it did damage it, which set back the Iraqi Nuclear program six months. But they managed to repair the reactor and it was all set to go online in a few days. So Israel had a choice wait for Iraq to become a nuclear power and wipe them out (which would have given Saddam Hussein so real street cred on the Arab Street) or launch a potential one way mission with a very low success rate. Having exhausted all options and with just a few day till the reactor would be fueled and online they launched a surprise attack on the Reactor. Now most of the other countries in the region didn't like Israel but they didn't want Saddam Hussein to have nuclear weapons either so they looked the other way while the Israelis carrier out the attack. They Bombed the reactor destroying it permanently, and the Iraqi nuclear program with it. Had Saddam Hussein gotten an atomic bomb it would have started a nuclear arms race in the region and all know how dangerous that could be.


The Reason Israel is so afraid of Iran with a nuclear weapon is it would only take 3 nukes to ANNIHILATE Israel. With 3 nukes you could take out their 3 major cities and 70% of the population with it. With everyone packed so close together its easy to understand for a military perspective why they are so scared of one of their enemies having a nuclear weapon.

President Obama is hell bent on getting a deal with Iran. The Deal is complete garbage and will allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon. Which will make every other country in the region want one too. And given the instability in this region of the world, one would get used at some point. And Lets us not forget Iran is a state sponsor of Terrorism and did supply the Taliban and Insurgents in Iraq with weapons to kill Americans.

The whole world is going to # and if Iran is allow to get a weapon I guarantee that the Israelis will use their nuclear weapon as a last resort, since we blocked their conventional means of attack.

If history has taught me anything its you can't negotiate with terrorists, dictators and religious fanatics. Every time it has been tried it has lead to a global conflict. Just look at the events that lead up to World War II.

Its the 1930s all over again except this time the part of Great Britain will be played by the United States of America and the Role of Neville Chamberlain will be played by Barack Obama. And the Results will be even more disastrous than the first time.

I don't know if this is bunk, but I can't say I'm displeased that a nuclear war has been prevented by stopping this alleged airstrike. I also think it's rather puerile to think these nations are doing their moves because of "hatred" against each other. There are big interests and behind the scenes there are the real players who don't give a # about people safety, wheter they are Israeli or Iranian or European or Russian or Arabs or whatevere else.

If something like an iranian nuclear strike is going to happen in Israel it's because it has been planned and let happen by the same people that armed Israel and the same people who incite occupation of palestinian territory, and probably the same people behind all the military issues in the Middle east. Thinking that religion or hate speech has anything to do with real business is a strawman.

They have had more inspections than any other nation on the planet. Not to mention even the Mossad says they aren't trying to get the bomb.

If that is true then why did they elect the people who was helping Nazi Germany into power in Israel? If you don't want something to happen again would you give power to those that enabled it in the first place?

Totally not true. The NPT would still forbid Iran to have Nuclear bombs besides if they really wanted on they could have gotten one from Russia with no problem.

Because everything you said sounded like you were a mouthpiece for the latter.

Last I heard, Israel would be unable to target nuclear research sites without American military aid as those sites are heavily guarded by various different types of SAMs and would be a one way mission if they tried it alone.

Hence the need for Israel to bang the war drums continually for the last x years, to secure that support of war from the US.

Regardless Israel or anyone else has no right to deny a country from obtaining nuclear power for peaceful reasons.

Israel can shout from the hilltops till blue in the face about it being for nuclear weapons, but they can shut up about it as Iran has allowed inspectors at numerous sites throughout the years.

Guess how many are allowed at Israeli? None.

The Bethlehem-based news agency Ma’an has cited a Kuwaiti newspaper report Saturday, that US President Barack Obama thwarted an Israeli military attack against Iran's nuclear facilities in 2014 by threatening to shoot down Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Following Obama's threat, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was reportedly forced to abort the planned Iran attack.

According to Al-Jarida, the Netanyahu government took the decision to strike Iran some time in 2014 soon after Israel had discovered the United States and Iran had been involved in secret talks over Iran’s nuclear program and were about to sign an agreement in that regard behind Israel's back.

The report claimed that an unnamed Israeli minister who has good ties with the US administration revealed the attack plan to Secretary of State John Kerry, and that Obama then threatened to shoot down the Israeli jets before they could reach their targets in Iran.

Al-Jarida quoted "well-placed" sources as saying that Netanyahu, along with Minister of Defense Moshe Yaalon, and then-Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman, had decided to carry out airstrikes against Iran's nuclear program after consultations with top security commanders.

According to the report, “Netanyahu and his commanders agreed after four nights of deliberations to task the Israeli army's chief of staff, Benny Gantz, to prepare a qualitative operation against Iran's nuclear program. In addition, Netanyahu and his ministers decided to do whatever they could do to thwart a possible agreement between Iran and the White House because such an agreement is, allegedly, a threat to Israel's security.”

The sources added that Gantz and his commanders prepared the requested plan and that Israeli fighter jets trained for several weeks in order to make sure the plans would work successfully. Israeli fighter jets reportedly even carried out experimental flights in Iran's airspace after they managed to break through radars.

Former US diplomat Zbigniew Brzezinski, who enthusiastically campaigned for Obama in 2008, called on him to shoot down Israeli planes if they attack Iran. “They have to fly over our airspace in Iraq. Are we just going to sit there and watch?” said the former national security advisor to former President Jimmy Carter in an interview with the Daily Beast.

“We have to be serious about denying them that right,” he said. “If they fly over, you go up and confront them. They have the choice of turning back or not. No one wishes for this but it could be a 'Liberty' in reverse.’"
