Thanks to the American Family Association we can now pin point those organizations that "hate" Christianity and want to silence Christians and destroy their rights to practice their religion!

A prominent fundamentalist organization is making headlines after creating an "anti-Christian bigotry map" which includes lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) advocacy groups.

The American Family Association's interactive map, [...] breaks down groups into four categories: anti-Christian, humanist, atheist and those with a "homosexual agenda."

Among the groups classified as those with a "homosexual agenda" include the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network, or GLSEN.

"These groups are deeply intolerant towards the Christian religion. Their objectives are to silence Christians and to remove all public displays of Christian heritage and faith in America," AFA officials note on their site. "Some members or supporters of these groups have committed violent crimes against Christians and faith-based groups. Physical and profane verbal assaults against Christians are methods frequently exercised in their angry methods of intimidation."

ZOMG! FREE THINKERS! YIKES!
They must be stopped!

It's more than a little ironic that the Southern Poverty Law Center lists the American Family Association as an identified "Hate Group" itself! www.splcenter.org...

What the American Family Association fails to realize in publishing this paranoid interactive bigotry map, that is meant to assist groups in targeting and stopping these groups, is that they have just given all those groups, and everyone that may sympathize with their causes, an interactive map that can be used to network and unite common campaigns, outreach programs and fundraising, for their "hateful" and sinful agendas!

Got a gay little brother having troubles in Syracuse? Get on that interactive map and find him a sympathetic organization to connect with! Want to volunteer to help or donate money, but don't know where or to whom? Do some research in the "Bigotry Map" care of the American Family Association!

LOL!

AAAAH The Lord DOES work in mysterious ways!

Self-aggrandizing American Theo-fascist Christians are amusing --until they re-start the inquisition.

I guess if you're looking for hate groups to join, contribute donations to or volunteer your services, I guess the Southern Poverty Law Center's Hate Group Data Base is as good as any!

It seems logical to identify groups that are in opposition to the goals of you organization. How is this news or is it just another opportunity for anti-Christian bigots to take pot shots at a Christian organization?

I do find the twaddle of some fundamentalists entirely tedious.

Being a Christian myself, I often find myself struggling to see the Christian ethic in the actions, statements, and attitudes held by fundamentalists, and I think the main problem is that these fundamentalists are fundamentally wrong about the things in our faith they opt to focus on, and uphold.

They cast aside the love that Jesus taught his disciples, and uphold only the fury and vengence of the Old Testament, and in so doing, they fail entirely to edify and glorify the name of Christ, and glorifying his name by good works and living in love and peace is something that all people who believe in the Lord of Lords, who hold Jesus word as their creed, should aspire to do. It is on not any single one of us, nor any large group, to dictate to those who do not hold our beliefs, about what is right and wrong. We are not permitted, nor are we fit, to chastise those who do not meet OUR approval.

And that is the crux of the problem. These fundamentalists do not understand that their actions are tantamount to replacing the mercy of Christ, with the judgement of the individual believer, and this is frankly heresy in its purest form, a greater heresy in my eyes, than all the buggery, all the Satanism, all the things traditionally associated with Un-Christian behaviour. Of course, my opinion is no more important in the grand scheme of things, than is the weight of a single drop of rain, when compared against an ocean. Moreover, it is no more my right to judge my fellow Christians, than it is for them to judge everyone else.

I just find it very sad, thats all.

My point is that using the Southern Poverty Law Center as your reference to find hate groups is rather like the pot calling the kettle black.

So you don't think it's useful to know about those groups and organizations that promote an agenda that actively work against your beliefs and your right to express those beliefs? I say this for anyone who holds a belief.

It's "news" because the new release of the American Family Associations interactive "Anti-Christian Bigotry Map" (their name for it) is trending in the MSN!

I'm just making Lemonade from the lemons they're throwing at us! You should learn to do the same instead of sucking on "Sour Grapes"!

2000 years of Christianity & it's values and the left wants to throw it all out the window. We can agree to disagree, but they want to silence the church and quash all dissent. Disagree with my Bible if you will, but does my sincere belief in same make me a hateful bigot?
IMHO the church has put up with this too long. Let us call it what it is, hatred and intolerance.

Who said ISIS hasn't made it to the U.S.? Same thing, different name. You can call yourself whatever you want, doesn't make it true.
