It is nothing at all like a declaration of war!! Where on earth do you come up with such nonsense??

Maybe not, but while there could be diplomacy in the pipeline it's a rather blatant swipe.

The UK likely sees less that $100 million of that 5 billion in tax money. Thats a pittance.

Quit yapping illogic man? So you mean to say corporate tax rates in UK are around 2%? Then there are money multiplier effects, also to how many jobs did the investment created etc. etc.

Should this discussion be carried on any further?

I don't think so!!

Less blatant than having 5-10,000 "volunteers" in the country fighting against the elected Government.

David Cameron is making up for Obamas percieved weakness. Ever since Obama drew a line in the sand and then turned around and ran away, Putin has adopted a more agressive strategy, because he knows Obama is a weak leader. A weak US president in the eyes of the world poses more of a threat to world peace than ISIS and all the terrorist cells put together. The West must be seen as willing to act.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I am afraid that Cameron is just as weak as Obama. The advisers being deployed to the Ukraine won't amount to a drop in the ocean. Heck it is barely double the number of trainers/advisers New Zealand is sending to Iraq. Cameron needed to be seen to be taking action on the Ukraine , after copping flak in the media from retired generals.

Cameron is a Chamberlain clone. Appeasing Putin is going to have the same results that appeasing Hitler in the 1930's had yet another European War.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Isn't the first step in "Boots on the ground" always to send in "military advisers and trainers"?

At the rate Ukraine's own troops are deserting or failing to respond to the draft, there won't be many, apart from the bully boy Nazi Battalions, for the trainers to train anyway.

Actually I would no the maths on that.

Only the interest in taxable on that 5 billion.

Can people stop comparing the situation to 1930's Germany!

The situation entirely different.

That difference is Russia 8,000 Nuclear warheads!

And Europe 500 odd Nuclear warheads!

And the USA 2000 odd Nuclear warheads!

Russia CANNOT steamroll over NATO/ EU controlled Europe as our Nukes stop that.

We can not march on to Moscow as Russia nukes stop that.

EXACTLY, and THAT is how our Tard in Cheif is running conflict POLITICALLY as LBJ did in Veitnam.
I would remind Victor when a confirmed casualty is taken from a clearly identified RUSSIAN soldier, OUR laws clearly show ASSETS would be confiscated,to include ALL of that property in Britain ,the US and all who would adhere to the original UN agreement.
ONE CASUALTY.
Like I said a while back keep your port and GO HOME.
ANY further will get costly.
How much can you buy ONLY from the communist backed elements when the OLIGARCHS have the reigns of world commerce?
If these creatures can hold the US populace at bay IMAGINE what they would do to Russia.
