I joined ATS when I was 15. What got me interested in science at that time the most was understanding the wonders of the universe, astronomy. Very
quickly, a fascination with just astronomy expanded into an interest in physics. This was before YouTube, Netflix, and although the internet wasn't
at all primitive, finding online videos just wasn't really a thing. But, I watched the science and the discovery channels all the time at home. And
one of my favorite personalities to watch on TV was Dr. Michio Kaku.
Last night, he did a lecture here in Austin, TX. I had to go*. The lecture was great, and he spent a lot of time answering questions from the
audience, which is always greatly appreciated. So I took my copy of Physics of the Impossible to have him sign it. And sign it he did!
The only thing is, my name is Ryan.
*Neil DeGrasse Tyson is coming to San Antonio in June, and I'd love to see him, too. But $275 a ticket for average seats my ass.
