I'm not a fan of Scott Walker, he's even worse than my Governor which is Kasich (who is also tapped to run). That said, running a state is a lot different from being in charge of 50 of them, so I expect his policies to change some. At the very least I'm willing to hear him out. You don't win 3 elections in 4 years in a hostile state without atleast sounding like you know what you're talking about.

Of the current choices though Christie and Paul are my picks.

My problem with the constitutional conservative crowd is with their love of the gun. Now, I have nothing against guns and if we get into a debate on this topic I'll say the 2nd doesn't go far enough, because you cannot buy real military hardware these days. But, I find that conservatives take the line of thinking that the 2nd protects all the other amendments. However when deals have to be made, they're quick to throw everything else under the bus to preserve the second. Government machines in peoples homes that monitor their communication? Free Speech zones? Search and Seizure, and all the rest. All because the people who take it upon themselves to defend the constitution really only defend a single amendment that means little today, and even less in a couple years when we have 3d printers.

Walker is part of that crowd, we'll see how he will be on policy once the show really starts.

I know right?

I dont think some have even read there constitution beyond the 2nd

Better are the ones on here who cry for smaller goverment the moan and cry about wanting:
The massive US military that even if cut in half could take Russia and China on at the same time

The huge militarized police that are better equipped than some EU army's!

Wanting the police to have the power of summary execution

Support the meddling in foreign affairs.

Support the huge CIA and NSA plus countless other alphabet agency's.

Relish and support th war on drugs cause GD it! The gobberment has a right to interfere with what one puts in there bodies!

Support the massive prison industrial complex of the US, cause nothing says small goverment and "land of the free" than the worlds biggest prison pop!

Supports restriction on what consenting adults do in there bedrooms and what marriage is!

Supports giving the government the power to suspend due process and torture people (sorry enhanced interrogation).

To me Republican and Democrat stands for big government and state! Just different ways!

Republicans = Big government in form of tyrannical police state

Democrats= Big goverment in form of socialist mess.

Who does he have backing him financially?
Cause we all know that is what wins elections these days.

Financial backers like to put their money on the leading horse and right now, I know, they just got out of the gate, but Walker is one of the early leaders so he won't have any problem getting financial support. Heck, the main Iowa poll from the Des Moines Register has him leading, so that clearly puts him in the eyes of the big backers. He's from neighboring Wisconsin so he's going to stay strong in Iowa all the way. There's no doubt Walker will be there till the end in the primary season and my bets are that he becomes the nominee because he appeals to both moderates and tea party supporters.

To me the Republicans are the guys who are running and implementing a campaign of "government is incompetent, lets make it worse". They're the guys that gave us "too big to fail". They're the guys who export jobs and dismantle the unions many people suffered and died to create. They're the guys that create the prison industrial complex. They're the guys that made the "defense" industry a a major sector of our economy.

To me the Democrats are the guys who send soldiers into warzones, but defund their body armor and ammunition for the sake of using causality reports as a weapon. They're the guys who want big government, but then choose to politicize those government agencies causing them to be used as weapons against the people instead of tools for the people. They're the guys that in a bid to not look soft on crime, make everything a crime. But most of all they're the party of vapid solutions, they always treat the result of a problem rather than the cause.

I do not like either of them as parties.

Gotta love ole Iowa, they are so astute ad picking the next GOP candidate.

Santorum was the boy that came outta there in '12, he really made it to the big dance didn't he?

The farther and further right the GOP goes, the less it has a chance to win the national election. What is so hard to see about that?

The conservative white vote is already won BUT that vote isn't going to win the presidency.

Until the GOP realizes that and stops running like it is 2004, the future is bleak for the GOP.

Related. I saw a facebook page called something like Stop Hillary in 2016 with over 100,000 likes. Sure, stop Hillary if you want, but that's not the problem. Who do you have that's better than Hillary if you're on the right?

You can't stop something if you don't have a replacement. Where's the logic???

Do you really think this country needs another community organizer-politician? The guy has not even finished College for god sakes. After he dropped out of school he hasn't done anything but run run run for office. He went from school to take a job at the Red Cross, the first major indication he wanted to rake in the money while doing nothing but make his resume look good.

Just like Obama he works one term at everything and then runs for a higher position. No thanks, we seen how that disaster works. I would rather vote for Clint Eastwood lol. Can you imagine those calls to foreign leaders ? lmao.

Oh no

I live in Wisconsin. He is the last person on earth I would want to see as president. He's ruining Wisconsin. Very sad.

The country would work better with Joe Bidden than Hillery.

We are at our lowest levels since Post war WW2 and have no officers to lead them who know how to fight a war outside of a book. Obama canned every one of them that have the respect and time served to lead any of our troops against him or any other nation without us losing way way to many troops. Never mind that Susan Racist is now running our military. Ever wonder why every rescue attempt to get our people from the hands of ISIS has gone bad lately??
