Thugged Out And The Asian Influence:

First a disclaimer and a caution Spider in no way endorses violence or the threat of violence except in the case of self defense or the defense of one's loved ones,I believe thug life is counter productive and a waste of youthful energy.
That said it behooves us not to take a look at this sub-culture,lets be clear this is not all of Hip hop, there are many sub categories,hardcore gangsta is but one ,Now for the longest Thug or Thugged out life style have been associated with first African American youths,Hispanics, Whites but Asians while known within that community were largely unknown to the general public,pls keep in mind the stereotype most would associate with Asian Americans,although mostly positive is still a stereotype,not all in this write-up would qualify as thugs btw, although the language maybe laced with vulgarity,which in part came from an African American form of expressive word play called the dozens..kinda like U momma jokes kicked-up to the next level,sheeesh !! don't tell anyone but that was why Obama's response to the Republican cheering his inability to run again was such a killa,if only they knew how to play the dozens.
Asian Gangsters/thugs is part of the American underworld culture just like any other group of Americans with decades deep history and centuries deep in the lands of their ancestral origins,so these are in no way posers,in-terms of outwards expression some have taken-up the style and fashion of African American and Hispanic Thugs,while giving back some of their own.

I have seen gangsters of every race no one is more ganster than another, stop looking at race and look at the actions of the individuals, because its not about what race they are, its thier actions that define them. As soon as you go into race it becomes a race baiting thread based on racism and moronic sterotypes.

The OP's trying to state how the common stereotype of a "thug" isn't always black, thugs are of all races and how many times Asian American gangs are overlooked or not included in the discussion. That's how I see it. The OP didn't come in here and blast all Asians, he didn't single out a particular group as in Japanese, Vietnamese or Thai.

Gangs and gang activity have always been blights on the face of the Earth, if we're to approach the problem intelligently how can we overlook certain gangs? It's not racist, prejudice or anything negative.

There are gangs of various races in America, to try and paint them due to race is by its very definition racist.

An Indian American ganster
An Arab American ganster
An European American ganster
An Asian American ganster
An African American ganster
A Hispanic American ganster
An Eskimo American ganster
A Alien ganster

All are the same, they are all gansters, as soon as you go into race your sterotyping which is what racism is all about.

Are all the same, they are just gansters to look at thier race and point to that makes it about race, not the actions of the said ganster. To look at race not the content of character or the actions of individuals is the very definition of what racism is. What are you going on about? The OP in no way, shape or form painted all Asians as gangsters. They simply brought up the fact that Asian gangs exist and they're often overlooked (which they shouldn't be since they're gangs).

If they wrote something about how all Asians are gang members by default simply because they're Asian then I'd agree it's racist and race baiting. But to call this thread racist is a stretch imo.
