Has the internet "Kill Switch" been activated?

Many reports coming on many, many sites are down. The main ones so far are facebook, instgram and many others.
What sites are down for you?

If it had been, you wouldn't be posting here. So no, it has not. There may be denial of service attacks happening, or it could be the blizzard going on in NE USA - I don't know where the ATS servers are.

everything seems back up now, when this 1st happened a couple hours ago even ATS was offline for me..

ATS isn't working for me. I haven't been able to post for the last 30 minutes and it's still offline.

if the internet went down, I'd QQ on the phone and bother the white house until they fixed it. Or until they arrested me for harassment xD

But they're not gonna kill the internet. Not for too long, even if they did, I'd wager.

It helps serve their interests and goals too perfectly for them to want to rid themselves of it.

Just as it serves ours.

Facebook, Instagram back after 40 minute outage

NEW DELHI: After an outage of more than 40 minutes, social networking website Facebook and its photo sharing service Instagram are back online.

Facebook, appeared to be down on Tuesday morning (Indian time), and the social media site acknowledged there was an issue without getting into the details. The company's photo sharing website Instagram too was down with users experiencing issues logging in.

"Sorry, something went wrong. We're working on it and we'll get it fixed as soon as we can," Facebook returned this error when users tried to login.
