"If we combine the map of the dark matter in the Milky Way with the most recent Big Bang model to explain the universe and we hypothesise the existence of space-time tunnels, what we get is that our galaxy could really contain one of these tunnels, and that the tunnel could even be the size of the galaxy itself."

An earlier study (Rahaman, et al., 2014 and Kuhfittig, 2014) has demonstrated the possible existence of wormholes in the outer regions of the galactic halo, based on the Navarro–Frenk–White (NFW) density profile. This paper uses the Universal Rotation Curve (URC) dark matter model to obtain analogous results for the central parts of the halo. This result is an important compliment to the earlier result, thereby confirming the possible existence of wormholes in most of the spiral galaxies.

if asked publicly even Kip Thorne will downplay the idea that traversible wormholes are real. he has a reputation to maintain of course. but he is the one that came up with the idea for Carl Sagan's use. But the thing that is supposed to kill these things before they can be used is itself a mcguffin. and scientists are looking for them despite the giggle factor and hence the professional peril of doing so.

I remember last year or the year before a prestigious Astronomy team announcing they planned to check and see if any black holes are actually wormholes in disguise. Wormhole emission spectra and other effects would differ from that of a classical blackhole in subtle but predictable ways.

Dr Woodward at Fullerton is not just looking for existing wormholes but trying to work out how to make them. His main research is on Mach effect thrusters and he will minimize any practical connection to the second portion of Sciama's equation expression of Machs priniciple in 4 vector math to a pathway to wormholes. but in fact the second term in the equation enables wormholes in theory. Woodward says he isn't working with the second term but it is he who often quietly points out that that second term is there and what it means WRT wormholes and Warp drives.

please do not reply to this thread. i did not notice there was a thread on this already and have asked the mods to merge my thread withthe existing thread.
