This could work because the stars seemed to have aged well.

Fox has quite a few shows that I will watch now and then and enjoy(like Bob's Burgers).

I will probably check it out online if it's released.

Reboot the truth "out there", somewhere, where you'll never find it… on TV…

Apparently Prison Break too..

Fox’s new agenda is looking a lot like their old one. Confirming some prior reports, the network’s leadership says they are seriously chasing a reboot of The X-Files and are possibly interested in bringing back Prison Break too (along with yet another edition of 24 as well — but that’s another story).

I honestly don't know how that's going to work, and therefore don't see it going through. It just won't be prison break without Wentworth Miller.

Gillian Anderson was getting every one of her Twitter followers to bother FOX until they gave it another series so it looks like people power may have won the day.

Can't wait.

Although I am now going to struggle to see David Duchovny as Fox Mulder instead of Hank Moody.

I'd rather they hadn't killed Firefly. There was a show that had some serious potential. X-Files ran it's out a long time before they cancelled it.

Has the world ran out of new material that everything is being remade or rebooted. wtf

I love the x-files and all but does it really need to be rebooted

Good point. But network television was never good at being anything but cowardly.

Reboots and redos are just networks, producers, and companies being cowards. Making new material is a far bigger risk because you don't have an automatic audience.

Firefly

Dead Like Me
Gargoyles(animated but so what)

Why come up with something creative and new when all of the work is already done for you. I love the x-files and I can can watch it again anytime I want.

That is awesome! I loved the X-Files, even though it scared the hell out of me. My favorite episodes were those that had either the lone gunmen or the smoking man.
