Yeah both sides supported it as much as people from both sides voiced their contempt for going to war. When it comes to wars whoever's paying the most at the time determines who gets fired upon. Religion is a great way to unite people. It's also sadly a very useful tool to divide them.

What gave me slight hope in humanity waking up is stopping the war drive into Syria.

Maybe enough are waking up to do some good, at least I pray that is the case.

I fear that those who are waking up are being woken up by the system. It's like they're putting out propaganda against themselves, creating little rebellious cliches like Anonymous and Occupy, funding the protests to justify coming down on the people even more. Eventually enough "rebel" and they have an excuse to create the "new and better system".
