Seems the Canadian RCMP....though already ensconced as an 18000 strong occupying army across Canada, will now be armed with "patrol carbines"......These are simply a shorter version of the Canadian C7 assault rifle which army troops use.....

I find it interesting that civilian Colt ar type rifles are always referred to as assault weapons....(even though they aren't fully auto)
yet when the Police arm themselves with the same weapon (only full auto) they are suddenly become innocuous " Patrol carbines"

The hypocrisy of the establishment may be hidden by careful word crafting....but these are the real assault weapons and im not sure that we need to arm the police with such devastating firepower.Coupled with hard body armour as well the cops are going to be outfitted for places like Iraq...in order to police a largely peaceful civilian population.

After all, they tazered some poor traveller to death after getting their tazers.....(an indication that they are poorly trained in the use of their "non lethal" equipment....) what are they going to do with full auto firepower at their fingertips.....??

The die appears cast, however, and the new assault weapons will be in the patrol cars of those supposedly trained in their use as soon as possible.
............ There is a twist to this scenario too.....they become even more of a target for those who wish to arm themselves with such weapons for nefarious purposes.....

Yep. Pretty much have to take them out first, kind of thing.

The more heavily armed and armored the "civil" authorities become the more at risk they are for anyone who has to get away with their crime.

If they were just "ordinary "civil servants, they could be told to lie down and don't move. Because they are IRON MAN, they have to be taken out.

I wonder how our LEO community feels about that.

Rather like Gods IMHO......
They are certainly arrogant enough already.......
Im expecting some increase in needless civilian deaths at their inept hands....They now have the standoff range to down people from an enormously further distance......Will they bother to go to the trouble of closing with a suspect before blowing them away?

They have to be able to defend against criminals armed as heavy as they are. But there aren't many of those. Just soft civilian targets.

I don't see much difference between the international arms race and the police one that's widening the gap between protect and serve, and simply blowing people away for whatever contrived reasons they may offer.....It all adds up to a further tightening of the police state tactics being deployed against the people....
