I guess Neeson didn't learn a Goddamned thing while he was preparing for the lead role in Schindler's List.

It's a shame because I once believed the man had half a brain between his ears.

They are allowed to have thoughts and opinions on matters too you know.

Sure don't take them as the gospel or anything but we shouldn't act like they can't voice their opinions.

I agree with him on one point, we so glorify going our and shooting people in movies.
If we want to have the discussion about how rap music is creating a culture of lawlessness then we should have the discussion of how Hollywood glorifies vigilante justice imo.

The problem I have is that they are GIVEN the grandest stage in the world to spout their crap.

Sure we all have a voice, but what they spout is controlled propaganda funded by elitists, made sure to be heard by the world.

So don't give me the 'they have thoughts too' BS. Lets see you or I get our thoughts heard by the world.

There is no need to assume who I know and don't know, you may be surprised who I may know personally.

'Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.'

Not only Neeson that hasn't learned a thing from history.

So it is thier fault that people want to hear what they have to say?

Again, take what they say with a grain of salt if you want but to act like they shouldn't say something just cause they get heard by more people seems wrong to me

Still no.

The reason being going a round shooting or harming another person IS ALREADY ILLEGAL.

Do a little research (as I have) and what you find is that in countries without guns the stabbing rates go through the roof.
In England for example, a country the size of a small state, the number of stabbings last year is approaching 30,000.

You are really going to try and convince me that a guy stabbing some other guy is comparable to men opening fire on a bunch of journalists?

A man with a knife cannot kill a dozen of journalist simultaneously, and has to engage into hand-to-hand combat with most of his victims. A man with a machine gun can avoid all that. That's why guns were invented, remember?

Batman series, that asinine movie about wolves in Alaska, the Taken series (including Taken 2: Electric Boogaloo.) etc.

He's become a caricature of a cookie cutter hack in many of his movies lately. One trick pony that gets roles because he has name recognition alongside a reputation for taking any role dangled in front of him.

I for one don't give damn how he feels about firearms. It's simply his opinion.

I will keep my firearms and him and his ilk will have to deal with it. No sweat off my back.

Schindler, the REAL Schindler, handed out weapons to his factory workers and pointed out that the disarming of Germany and of the Jews was the reason they were conquered by the Nazis.

And gun manufactures don't out out ads to get you to buy their product?

Just saying if you are gonna call out one side, make sure we address the other side doing the exact same thing

Okay, so I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here (so keep that in mind before blasting me). This is my question:

Why does anyone NEED a gun?

Some people still hunt for food so that's an acceptable answer but the majority of us buy our food at the grocery store. Is it because the Constitution says we have the right to bear arms? That doesn't equate to a need. Is it for protection? That would be a need but protection from what? For sport? Not a need. The list goes on...

What say you ATS?

Disclamer: I don't own a gun but I own swords. And before you say "Roma why do you need a sword?" it's because I study martial arts. No, it's not a need but it's what I do.

I may be surprised if I cared who you know personally, and like I said, unless you are listening to these people because you know them personally, which you don't, then you bring this on yourself by buying into the bull#.

Have you ever been given dirty looks, been verbally or physically attacked or been spat on by people when you come out of the Gun store?

Because that's what has happened to alot of Muslims leaving the Mosque!!!

Nonsensical comparison and selfvictimisation is blatant in these debates....

& I'm pro Gun!

This thread appears to be trying to ridicule Liam Neeson for having an opinion.

He's an actor. Why does anyone give a # about what actors say. They aren't paid to think.

Which is the problem.

Opinions lead to LAWS. It's how every law gets past, and why we have had over 70 years of gun control.

That does nothing, but makes something that is already illegal more so.

Lol wut?
So people ain't allowed opinions? Well then you can't have an opinion about Liam neesons opinion. In fact you better go ahead and just close your account because everyone of your posts are riddled with opinion. Or is it just a case of people aren't allowed to voice theirs if it goes against what you believe?

It's circular logic.

They need guns to protect themselves from other people with guns.

Also the reason the Native American's was conquered.

And the African Americans.

Lot's of examples exist around the world, and closer to home.
