Absurd Number of Stars

My star count is 100% accurate.

The glitch didn't seem to affect my account. Probably because the string was already assigned a value before the switch the the new design.

It seems to only hit members that started back in 2007 or before if I remember correctly.

Account age has something weird to do with it.

I didn't realize that! I checked all the posts in this thread and none contradict that explanation, so it could be the case.

There's obviously a problem.

I seem to have several million fewer stars than I should have.

We actually looked into it and all the ones that have huge numbers of stars are older accounts that have been here years.

Everyone here is some kind of attention seeker , I guess. On YouTube, the thumbs up is for comments but there is no number of those being reflected anywhere, that I know of. Maybe I like it like that better.

A definite conspiracy of Hierarchal Favoritism. Or a sneaky programmer. Do they increment normally or exponential, I wonder?

I was going to take five minutes, figure out the episode, do a screen capture vid and post it to YouTube, but I got lazy. Take my trash link. It will be stars soon, not my post, I don't encourage starring it. Never mind. I meant because it will be trash.

I got used to it and kind of enjoy the multi million star club. I also know how to give millions of stars with a single click of the button. However as already stated, it only applies to members who have been posting here since before 2007.

I've gotten some quite amusing responses when it first happened.

Apparently it only applies to certain topics that were posted in July 2007 and earlier.

I don't want to give away too many secrets. Someone might end up exploding and going supernova.

I just noticed my stars today! I like the Million Stars club, been here since '04

I'm a real Lurker, I've probably make a few posts every year or so hehe

I thought you could use about six million more.
I have star power.
It's nice that the older members have extra stars.
