Lovely song, but how is this metal? Seems like a goth song.

To me that seems nothing like a goth song then again I grew up on the Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, Sixouxie, Faith and the Muse so i probably have a different different definition of goth then you do...

To me metal is any music that creates a visceral response in me..this album by Chelsea Wolfe may not be metal in the sense that an Emperor or Slayer album is but it has mutlipe elements of metal and that works for me..

I had friends who listened to Sisters of Mercy, Bauhaus, and Siouxsie And The Banshees. I always considered it underground pop a little further down than Adam Ant. My idea of goth was, and still is, This Mortal Coil and Love and Rockets.

This is what I consider goth today.

We disagree then considering that Love And Rockets came primarily from members of Bauhaus aftwe they broke up and the bands I listed defined the original wave of goth music with the exception of Faith and the Muse .Saying This Mortal Coil was goth is like saying Dead Can Dance were also..

It's all good though, good music is good music..

Great album from a pretty obscure band, new to the scene. I expect great stuff from them in the future. What do you guys think?
