So much for that separation of church, and state LEFTISTS purport themselves as believing in.

And no madrassas, and Qu'ran doesn't mean Chrstian or Jewish.

I'd like to point out that Carson is being appointed to the intelligence committee NOT an education committee. So his views on education appear to be a bit irrelevant here.

Yo what's one the functions of the intelligence committee ?

To deal with people raised in madrasses that go kill people in the name of allah.

So, you DO admit that it has to do with him being a muslim.

I'd rather have a American law maker like this representing me.

I watched both videos and can say that I dislike and distrust the Tea Party and happen to think that putting a man with knowledge of Islam on the Intelligence Committee at a time when Islam is the #1 fear of seemingly every American aliveis probably a fairly smart decision.

Hey, get your logic and reason out of the thread. This is the land of hyperbole and random accusations!

Lol jk. Well said.

And no one has bothered to say "creeping Sharia" yet...

Nice to see some more diverse representation.

Keith Ellison has been great for Minnesota.

Still trolling I see.

When he is more critical of righting wingers in this country than he is elsewhere.

He has no business on the House Intelligence Committee.

What does the OP have to do with the presidency? I didn't know that Nancy Pelosi was the President now.

Why does Pelosi get to name anybody?

I thought the Republicans won the election?

lol don't get me wrong Buster, I understand the fearmongering behind the S word...

Loved your response as well...

But if ever there was a time to say "creeping Sharia" & actually have a foundation in truth...
I'd say it's here.

Well it seems we are narrowing down things. You appear to not know much about his politics but it rubs you the wrong way that he doesn't like racist Tea Party members and that he is a muslim.

What's your problem? The future of your country (I'm assuming you're a US American) belongs to people of color and probably, to an ever greater extent, people of the Muslim faith. People who don't like that fact, if they're young enough to be affected by it, should move to some other country, in my opinion. There's nothing keeping them here.

As they say...to the victors go the spoils.

If you knew his policies like you claim to then you would know that he has complained that the war in Iraq hampered hunting down Al-Qaeda members. So you don't want a rep that wants to kill terrorist?

You'd think the White Christian population would want as many protections in place for minorities as possible before they become the minority.

Yes we shouldn't have anyone on this committee that has half a brain. We need more people like Michele Bachmann who has no brains on the committee.

Stop trolling.

Seriously.

I wonder how he reconciles his faith with it's racist history while demagoguing the Tea Party.

That got twisted CONTINUALLY because he's muslim.

Move on

Yo THAT WAS ABOUT POLITICS for those who failed at reading, and comprehension.

So much for that separation of church, and state LEFTISTS purport themselves as believing in.

And no madrassas, and Qu'ran doesn't mean Chrstian or Jewish.

In the Arabic language, the word madrasah simply means the same as school does in the English language, whether that is private, public or parochial school, as well as for any primary or secondary school whether Muslim, non-Muslim, or secular. Unlike the use of the word school in British English, the word madrasah more closely resembles the term school in American English, in that it can refer to a university-level or post-graduate school as well as to a primary or secondary school.

Madrasa

"It simply can’t be denied that, generally speaking, students of madrasas are isolated and insulated from the mainstream society. This is especially true for the 10,000 or more so-called Quomi madrasas which do not take any money from the government, relying instead on charitable donations, and do not provide much by way of secular or science-based studies. Most of the madrasa students believe that by learning their conceptions of Islam, they will go to heaven. A similar motivation for learning English or science subjects is absent and they are not convinced that learning those subjects is important."

"A frequent allegation regarding the madrasa sector is its involvement with religious militancy. The Quomi madrasas are most often implicated in this debate because of the continued resistance to the mildest of reforms attempted by the state. Due to their unknown sources of funding and the use of centuries old curriculum in adaptation of hardened fundamentalist teachers there are reasons to believe that they can be (and actually have been) used as breeding ground of religious extremists."

Here's the problem:

Person A kills people. Claims his religious beliefs tell him that it's required to kill certain people.

Person B proclaims he is same religion as Person A.

Person C is not a member of the same religion of Person A and B. Person C doesn't know who's right in terms of how they interpret their religion, Person A or Person B.

Person C then discovers that he is one of the categories that Person A thinks is justified in killing.

Person D comes along and is the same religion as Person A and B. Person D is now in charge of finding all the people who believe the same thing Person A believes, to protect Person C against being killed.

We don't need education taking any religious form whatsoever. We don't care how you did it back in your country. I'm all for reforming the education system but not with religion mixed up in the curriculum. Take your zealot ass on down the road. You wonder why we can't co-exist. You want to run it all. Take your child to a private school with that curriculum and leave our children alone.

PS: Take Pelosi with you. I never wished any ill will on another human being but I might start with her.
