Dozens of French police and gendarmes were scouring a huge forest where the men thought to be behind the deadly attacks in Paris a day earlier were believed to have holed up.
The massive manhunt honed in on the forest of Retz, northeast of Paris, after the two brothers, Cherif and Said Kouachi, apparently abandoned their vehicle near a local restaurant.

Yet they stop to rob a petrol station?
