Attacking the source thats what you did which is rather ironic.

Last time I checked that is what your supposed to do, or would you rather me attack the poster, and you know a little about attacking the poster don't you?

Apparently to you FOX News, CNN, Westren News outlets and kiev post are the only sources you would rather trust.

Seems you believe that too, as your OP source is a western news media outlet...how ironic.

Why would i even bother? your probably going to either deflect or attack the source as you just did, unless you find worthy to your agenda that is.

You sure do like to blame others of deflecting the topic, but you don't even notice when you do it such as you did above with your western media comment..

And the last time I checked attacking the source is how you weed out the bunk...something that you haven't figured out how to do yet.

This place sadly reminds me of when i was on the Gurdian forum section during the Syrian protests to, you are an shill for Assad if you dare to speak out agaisnt the rebels.

What were you saying about deflecting?

And what exactly does Syria have to do with the topic of your own thread?

Was Pussy Riot filming in Syria with Assad, because if not you took your own thread off topic...outstanding.

Oh yes the BBC very reablie. You might as well just post a source from al jazeera while your at it.

You do understand that when you bash Western media, but then use them as a source for a thread you just show your true self.

Maybe you should have read the article as it was an interview with a former inmate at the prison where a member of Pussy Riot was being sent.

Svetlana Bakhmina, a former lawyer for the now defunct Yukos oil company jailed in 2006, recalls her time in one of the "tough" penal colonies in Mordovia, south-east of Moscow.

www.bbc.com...

So a female who spent time in a female Russian prison isn't reliable...Care to tell me how that works, and what exactly do you know about womens prisons in Russia because I would love to hear it?

I didn't/don't know the specifics of prison life in Russia, sounds terrible. That being said, I'm sure Pussy Riot knows how terrible it is to be in some weird fem-gulag in the middle of nowhere...they knew it before the crimes and still committed them.

My point is that they lost any weight they had, with me, when they put their personal freedom and comfort before their ideals. I'm not saying I would do that, but I don't claim to be anything special...I feel like they do.

If I'm remembering correctly, only one member actively tried to reduce her sentence. The others were pretty stoic, accepted the judgement handed down and did their time. Now, there WAS a social movement to try to free them, but I don't blame the members themselves for that movement.

I just thought that the one standing up was the spokesperson for the group, not that she was out on her own trying to get out of it and the others were taking it as it came.

I guess you are right though, I can't blame Pussy Riot that it became a cool and trendy thing for celebs to support these girls and that it became a "Thing", good point.

Kudos to Clinton for posing with them and praising them. If you are a believer in the right to free speech and freedom

Indeed Kudos to Clinton the same Clinton keeps lying.

P Riot are strong women who speak out for what they believe in, even under the threat of Russian Prison sentences. How many of you would be brave enough to voice your opinions if you had that hanging over your head?

The majority of Americans dont even support these women anymore for a reason and strong women? thats rather comical.

. If you are a believer in the right to free speech and freedom in general then you should support p riot. If you do not support them

This is hilarious, so now if i want to support and if i an a believer in the right to free speech and freedom in general then you should support p riot?

This is why i cant take you seriously.

So let's see...because you think Clinton Lied...as do all politicians and leaders, you think that has something to do with supporting priot.

You don't think Priot are strong women...no reason given.
You state that most American's don't support them...no reason give. The same Americans that watch Honey booboo and Guys with Beards that hunt ducks every night.

and let's bring it around then, are you a believer in free speech and the right to speak out and protest political leaders? If you are, then why would you not support a group that routinely speaks out against corrupt leaders.

We need answers. I'm intrigued by your philosophy

You may find yourself wanting. A casual look at Agent's post history demonstrate he DOES support speaking out against corrupt governments, unless said government is Russia, then it's all flowers and sunshine and kitten rainbows.

And of course we have the fist being raised on RATM's Battle of Los Angeles cover.

Hunter S. Thompson used the raised fist as the basis for his Gonzo fist.

Even Russia's Communist Party has used the iconography of the raised fist throughout its history.

But of course this ignores the lengthy history of the symbol which dates back to at least the 18th century. It became the logo for the Industrial Workers or the World in 1917. But they were just the first of many groups who would employ the symbol as solidarity among oppressed peoples. Here's a list of some of the organizations and movements that have used the fist as their logo. But I'm sure they were all just trying to further the US hegemony even those who seemed to be fighting against that exact thing.
