Care to expand on your OP, Phage? I'm getting a mixed message here... "The time has come" to not throw rocks at police, or to change the laws? Both? Or....what? Please specify. I expect more from a high-caliber poster such as you, please take this as a compliment.

So true. Things are getting too crazy. Great song, by the way.

Before throwing stones, consider the results. Consider the impact. Breaking the law accomplishes nothing.

The music is great (it's never been better) but listen to the words too.

Thanks for clearing up, and I agree. The recent protests have been out of hand, regardless of the message supposedly being sent. Not only were laws broken, but a neighborhood destroyed. We know now that "peaceful" protests don't work, but to destroy businesses in the neighborhood you live in as a result, is pure idiocy.

I posted a thread a good while ago about a time when people will hunt police...

It was closed because it supposedly promoted hatred and or illegal activity... yet that wasn't my intention...

T'was a prediction... Perhaps that's what you're saying?

I know im not the only one who sees it... its happening

It has been, and was, and does nothing.
Ever.

I agree... but that doesn't mean it won't happen...

revenge is human nature... and they push the public far too much these days...

but the thing is, its always happened... only now everyone has a camera...

people won't stand for it... Mark my words...

Revolutions don't happen when the people are being peaceful and compliant, lol.

Can't see the video here but self immolation is not the same thing as violence nor is it a revolutionary act. It is, simply, suicide.

Then don't fire bullets at unarmed citizens, especially when you got a bullet-proof vest on. Cuz it just gets us one step closer to civil war.

Citizens? Or criminals? See, breaking the law makes one a criminal.

In any case throwing rocks don't do #, 'cept for pissing people off.

All philosophical discussion aside, that's some decent blues for a bunch of white boys. And the flute was an especially interesting touch.

ETA: As a white boy myself, I do not believe this to qualify as a racially insensitive statement.

You're screamin' at policemen
But they're only doin' a gig
You're screamin' at policemen
But they are only doin' a gig

Gotta try and take the time
To figure out how the issue got that big

Lenny Bruce was trying to tell you
Many things before he died
Lenny Bruce was trying to tell you
Many things before he died

Don't throw rocks at policemen
But get the knots of law untied

Every time you're holdin'
You are guilty of a crime
Every time you're holdin'
You are guilty of a crime

The laws must change one day
But it's goin' to take some time

Wise words. Change the laws instead of throwing rocks.

I think a lot of people doubt that actual change can come quick enough and some of those don't think it'll ever come. There needs to be a synchronised, peaceful movement that makes change inevitable through political pressure. Although I dislike the endless stream of anti-police articles, videos and threads, they are part of grassroots political pressure.

Much like the sentiment of 'don't throw rocks,' the people who blindly hate all of the police undermine the chances of the change they claim to want.

Ahh sometimes I forget you're human. I always imagine a Sheldon Cooper-esque android. I almost died when you said you used to surf in a thread about half a year ago. Now you're here listening to music, once more shattering my preconceptions!

... anyways ...

Great song and message!
