Here are a few of the funniest ones:

#AskACop Will you be undergoing more training on how to murder innocent black people, I hear there are some still alive? @CNN

I want to make cookies. Do I have to use a food processor to chop the nuts, or can I just shoot them 31 times with a handgun? #AskACop

#AskACop What do you do with our weed after you steal it?

when dunkin donuts accidentally gives u a black coffee do u have the urge to shoot it too or no #AskACop

#Askacop I have a math question: if 1 Black man has zero guns, zero knives and 2 hands, how many bullets does it take to disarm him?

#AskACop When impounding dogs, are you rougher on the black labs than the golden retrievers?

handcuffed w/ my hands behind my back how could I shoot myself in the chest&commit suicide? #VictorWhiteIII #AskACop

‏So a black guy, an asian guy & a white guy walk into a bar. How many times do u shoot the black guy? #AskACop @CNN

Very classy, CNN.

Keep up the dividing tactics, it's working ohhh so well.

I was very tickled by:

Why do the Police keep opening themselves up to these sorts of public relations disasters? Irony...

Well done, CNN. Keep the racial divide strong.

Keep stoking those fires, I'm sure you can squeeze another good few months out of this. Your revenue department must be thrilled.

#AskACop Do you think they'll ever stop making wallets, cell phones, Wii remotes, and black people's hands look so much like guns?

Seriously .. i mean there couldn't actually be a problem with disproportionate police violence against minorities... I'm sure you've never seen it personally so it must not be real...must be the lizard people trying to geting to fight amongst ourselves instead of them!!!

You go ahead and keep on misinterpreting my meaning. Put those words in my mouth. They're delicious. Chewy.

One: I never even implied there wasn't an issue of police/minority confrontation.
Two: I have seen it personally.
Three: Lizard people? Really?

Continue the blanket hate and the division.

See where it leads us as a whole...

Why anyone would want to be a cop anymore is besides me?

Walk away.

Because authority is VERY enticing regardless if people like you for having it or not.

People that report the problems, discuss the problems, address the problems, aren't technically the problem.

Unless you are consciously or unconsciously attempting to perpetuate the problems.
Victim shaming is transparent and ultimately ineffective. So, my suggestion is to move on other tactics.

Maybe you could trash Al Sharpton or Jessie Jackson or MLK? Try that.

The most frustrating thing, for me, is the response from police officers to things to like this. Instead of acknowleding that people have a reason to be angry, they deflect and ridicule, trying to play the victim.

Yes, people are being a bit rude about cops right now. There are reasons. As an officer, if you refuse to acknowledge those reasons you are part of the problem, not part of the solution.

Or perhaps some cops (actually, most of them) still believe in the "protect and serve" part of their oath?

Hats off to those GOOD cops out there taking undue flak. Keep up the good work, even if people hate you unduly.

The first two should never be mentioned in the same breath as the last except to say, 'What do the first two racist, hate-mongering pieces of crap not have in common with the last.'

There's a difference between addressing the problem and kids being asinine on twitter.

That may be true, but it doesn't change my point. Authority is an attractive career option. And, I'd like to add, the more disgust the public holds for the career, the more likely it is to attract the unscrupulous ones that want the authority for bad purposes. Look at politicians. Look at bankers. It becomes a self-perpetuating cycle of distrust and hate as the honorable ones leave the field en masse only to be replaced by the ones who don't care what you think, as long as you care what THEY think (and they are willing to make sure you think that way).

ETA: Police work is supposed to be a thankless job. It isn't the public's job to be grateful for them, we pay them to be there. But it is their job to respect their office.
