Today is my 39th birthday.
It for me is a time of reflection, and introspection.
I see this country headed in a dangerous direction. One that is overly conservative.
Don't get me wrong, there are points about the conservative movement that are quite valid. Our government is far too large, needs a serious
reduction, needs to reduce the redundant agencies, allow states to control more of their citizens general welfare. There are too many agencies doing
too little with far too little oversight.
Our government spends too much money too inefficiently, takes too much from the working class, too much from small businesses, and in my opinion
spends far too much money on an over-bloated military budget.
We are at constant war, creating more problems than we solve, creating worse threats than we contain, supporting regimes that are actually horrible
for the people they rule over, and exciting extremist groups with a war of aggression and invasion that is outside our countries level of expertise.
We are doing the same on our own home-front. Our police are simply put, a terrorist group with government backing, maiming and killing our own
citizens. Themselves inciting riots and unrest. Incarcerating non violent crimes and preforming street justice on criminals and minorities with
complete impunity.
We have folks that want to legislate love, legislate women's reproductive rights, legislate what individuals put in their own bodies but at the same
time they state that they are for individual liberty. And we don't call them out on their bull!
Yes, the two party system is flawed. Democrats want to take away guns from law abiding citizens, Republicans want to make damn sure that criminals
have access to guns.
Democrats want to make sure that healthcare is available to everyone and health insurance companies can charge whatever the hell they want for
anything, Republicans want to make sure the sick die quickly so they don't affect the eugenics of the nation. (following the theory of survival of
the fittest without acknowledging that evolution exists)
Republicans want to tap every single natural resource we have in this country throwing away their own ideology of the strategic energy reserve. (or in
other words being freaking CONSERVATIVE) They want to use up our own supply of vital natural resources, instead of the long term goal of using
everyone else's supplies up and then selling ours to the world for an absolute fortune while we move onto better and more efficient methods of
energy.
Anything else?
Oh yea, campaigning on creating jobs in 2010, 2012 and 2014. (conservatives) then doing absolutely everything possible to stall congress from passing
any bills that would actually help create jobs, then running on the fact that jobs haven't met the expectations as a platform to win again. But yet
they did. How the hell the American people fell for this crap three times in a damn row is beyond me.
The Democrats have become completely and totally spineless, they have a history of being spineless in the past but the last few years the Democrats
have become totally invertebrate. Caving on core issue after core issue, letting the GOP deny appointment after appointment. Just in general being
complete losers, then watching as year after year they get their asses kicked in the elections.
How do I conclude?
The United States needs a massively fiscally conservative, and socially liberal reform. (Without the help of libertarians cause you guys are just A
Holes.)
We need to get off the worlds stage as the only superpower, concentrate more effort at home than abroad. We need to get countries that understand the
local geopolitical issues to get involved with local problems. (I'm talking to you Saudi Arabia, ISIS is your damn problem.) Israel, stop pissing off
every single one of your neighboring countries and start working to actually create peace.
Africa needs a moment on the worlds stage to have every developed country bitch slap them into the 21st century. Cmon F'ers, get it together.
Religions need their asses handed to them. Hard. This world was much less violent (seriously it was) when the majority of the planet was pagan. These
Abrahamic religions need a serious beat down. It's fine to believe whatever you want, but when your religion includes world domination? (That's a
part of all three, don't fool yourselves) The world needs to lay the smack down for freedom. But it's got to come from the people, not the
governments. It's fine to have a faith, it is, but it's not fine when your faith demands that you subjugate and dominate a cousin faith. It's a big
planet and there are lots of imaginary deities to put your faith and money into.
Everyone's screwed up, everyone needs a little dose of reality, (including me) maybe if we all weren't so damn full of ourselves, and maybe if we
thought about the world with a little empathy and logic, we could fix the problems in our society and the worlds society at large.
