Why would someone that hasn't been given the opportunity of reading the bible be any less worthy of God than you or me.
I've wondered about that too.

Paul was expecting the Rapture in his day, and it would have happend had the Church matured in time, but that wasnt the case. The Church grew in numbers, but not in maturity, so the Rapture will happen when enough Church members mature to the level that they can rule over the less matured members, under Christ in the Millenium. Like Jesus said, some will rule 10 cities, some 5. The Church age believers are destined to be Kings and Priests. Some will reach Spiritual Kingship, the rest will be priests ministering to those who have entered the Millenium without resurrection.

Anyone who can look at the stars and realize that there is a God can ask God for the truth. When that occurs, God will send the truth to that person, whether by mission, evangilist, or by angel. If you ask, you will recieve. All humans beyond the age of accountibility have the same opportunity to address God with these questions, therefore all humans have equal opportunity to the Rapture.

Believe that Jesus Christ paid for our sins and you will have everlasting life. That is the truth that any man can know if he should ask for it.

There is an understanding that the trumpets will blow and everyone will look up and all will know.

Air raid sirens? Storm warning horns, Sirens on emergency vehicles, Car alarms, Car horns, diesel truck and train whistles.

Did I leave anything out?

TexI have heard so many Christians and Non-Christians babble about "thief in the night". It is for the enlightened to know the "season".

The illuminated in deed do bear more knowledge than just the season, for they have always been the mystery keepers as initiated scribes of religious authorship.

Well, the Church is Resurrected at the Rapture, and the believers of Israel are resurrected at the 2nd Advent, so that leaves the believing Gentiles who survive the Tribulation.

Yes, there have been several occasion of "Trumpets Sounding" a warning.

Consider Cassius Dio's account of the eruption of Mt Vesuvius in 79 AD. Sounds pretty biblical to me!

Then suddenly a portentous crash was heard, as if the mountains were tumbling in ruins; and first huge stones were hurled aloft, rising as high as the very summits, then came a great quantity of fire and endless smoke, so that the whole atmosphere was obscured and the sun was entirely hidden, as if eclipsed. 23 1 Thus day was turned into night and light into darkness. Some thought that the Giants were rising again in revolt (for at this time also many of their forms could be discerned in the smoke and, moreover, a sound as of trumpets was heard), while others believed that the whole universe was being resolved into chaos or fire.

Also, as far as modern Trumpet Warnings, I can only imagine the "sound" of the nuclear bombsof WWII exploding over Japan!

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

There is no such thing as a pre-trib rapture. It's a non-scriptural soul-candy cult invented by failed Anglican Priest Nelson Darby in the 1800s. In fact, scripture says just the opposite of a pre-trib rapture. It clearly states that the meek shall inherit the earth and the wicked shall perish. It's very simple .. not complicated at all with wild math figures and hidden meanings and secret codes that have to be unraveled. No pretrib rapture - It's simply stated straight out by Christ Himself.

Thats more like thunder. Until the invention of the air raid siren there was no equivalent to a "trumpet" or "like a trumpet"

If one wants to ascribe that to some kind of warning signal, well it is. And indicative of the era spoken of in prophecy in general as foretold by the ancients.

Here we are. Ain't it wild?

IDK, according to Cassius Dio, the volcanic eruption of Vesuvius sounded like trumpets. I have no idea what a nuclear explosion would sound like, if it screamed or rumbled. It just seems that, for a prophetic work, the Bible should have something about the 2 nuclear bombing of Japan during WWII, for it to be credible and to apply today's society, imho.

This is where I get confused, well one of the places I get confused. So as I understand this, those who have already died, and been waiting I guess, when the Rapture happens, these souls will be resurrected? As Jesus was resurrected? And then what, they get lifted up to heaven with the believers of this present day? Will all of them go up into the sky? And the believers of Israel.. These are who?. Jewish people who have died and they will be resurrected also?

And the believing Gentiles you mention. I don't understand the distinction of a believing Gentile and a regular Gentile. I kinda thought that by believing, one was no longer just a Gentile but rather a member of the Church by way of believing in the Lord.

My questions arise because I know a person who is a Pre_milllinimist. His understanding is that the Rapture comes before the Millennium so that after the Rapture when all the believers get new bodies and ascend, there will still be people populating the earth and when they figure out what has happened, and if they survive the Tribulation some of them will become believers and make it into the Millennium.

Actually, what really confuses me is that there is so much non-agreement about all of this. Some say this way and some say that way. I don't know WHAT to believe to be a real believer. What if I choose the wrong way to believe? Why can't everybody just quit all this speculation and arguing and stuff and just stick to the Golden Rule. That is much more my speed. Sometimes I think that all this speculation and number crunching and trying to find hidden secrets in the Bible is really just the work of the Devil. I think I will hold to the Golden Rule and just let the Lord carry me through all of the rest of this without me having to worry about it.

Interesting that there's a mod's post about manners and decorum in this thread, yet this thread is all about how the OP thinks that anyone that's not in his/her gang is basically s*****d and is going to die.

A warning even.....

BTW did you know at one point you and your cat looked very similar, almost as if you were related ...

Church Age believers that have already died are disembodied spirits in heaven. I would imagine that their bodies are given to them there. The rest of the Church that is alive at that point will have their flesh converted into light (plasma-body for lack of a better term). When the Rapture happens, that will be the closing of the Church Age. From that point on, there will be Jewish believers (Israel), Gentile believers, and nonbelievers (some Jews some Gentiles). The Jews are promised an end of sin by the end of the 70th Week. To remove the sin nature while being alive requires resurrection. When Christ returns, He will come with the resurrected Israelites and Church. At that point the remnant of Israel will be resurrected. Whoever does not believe in Christ when He returns (Jew or Gentile) will be incinarated. This is the Baptism of Fire. Like the Post Flood world, the Millenium will begin with believers only. The living Gentiles that enter the Millenium will repopulate the earth, but they will still be sinners. Unlike this age, the Rulers of that age will be resurrected and therefore not sinners. Those who have yet to be resurrected, will be when the revolution near the end of the Millenium ends.

Pre-millenialists may disagree on the details, but we all agree that Jesus died for our sins. At that point, the we are free to practice the golden rule without having the growing debt of the sin nature to weigh us down.

I study the bible in a unique way, counting the syllables in the ancient text. Its a long process, but most of my observations are based on the timeline that can be reconstructed by the heptactic syllable metering.

If you could read atleast some of the original language, you would not say that.

Speaking of "non-scriptual soul candy", ever hear of the Apocrypha?

Im just giving you a heads up on whats coming. You dont have to ridicule me for it. Just realize that when you see the things I describe come true, the choice is as easy as faith in Christ Jesus. Believe what you want for now, but at least take note of my words. You never really know what tomorrow brings.

I think we've been though this a few times so theres no need to rehatch...

Tell me, what happens when nothing happens... Just like every other failed prediction since the death of Christ?

Will you make a retraction or at least admit you're wrong...

or will you just move the date and claim you made a mistake like everyone else that tries to predict this rapture?

I've done this with several other members who have made predictions... none of them return, and all of them have been wrong....

Care to make a wager?
