4 days ago;

"Hundreds of people took to social media to describe hearing a "loud bang" at about 22:30 GMT on Monday.

Firefighters were called after a report in the Weaste area of Salford but later admitted they could find no evidence of a fire, or any other disturbance."

www.bbc.co.uk...

today;

"North Yorkshire Police have closed the A1 after hearing reports of an explosion at 3am this morning.

Both slip roads to Catterick have also been closed and diversions have been put in place.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area at this time.

Officers said this is a precautionary measure while police conduct their enquiries.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time."
