Furthermore, are you trying to tell me someone who has been shot twice is a viable threat? the shot that killed him was in the head. the other two in his arms. Are you telling me he couldn't have been subdued without being killed? Nah, because Black people have superhuman strength. We can be shot multiple times and effectively win a brawl against highly trained police officers.

If I shot you twice, right now. What are the odds I lose a fight with you. that's a hell of a handicap.

are you telling me you know when he suffered the final fatal shots??

No you dont

Again if you actually had any real world experience , you would now you fire until the threat stops advancing....

If this large man turned and charged this officer, with adrenaline already pumping from the physical altercation, yes it could have well taken multiple shots to take him down....

I would suppose the fatal shots came as he was going down.....

But again.......YOU dont know the facts and neither do I.....

The difference is you presume to know, and I do not.......

All I DO KNOW is that a person, especially a person a that large, and hopped up on adrenaline could suffer multiple gun shots before being put down.......

Again ive seen smaller targets take multiple rounds before going down.......

And yet agian, if you knew what you were talking about you would know that too.....

Alas I have to be honest, you just joined today and this has been the thread you went directly too and started in with your , what appears to be be angry diatribe....

Calling people names and making personal attacks.....

You might want to consider changing your approach

Oh no, not deflecting. Everyone following this thread knows I haven't said or even implied what you are suggesting.

Now show me examples of people shrugging off multiple shots and continuing to attack and defeat opponents.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

I'm not ManBehindTheMask, but I do have a video...

While this does not show a man attacking, he very well could have had that been his intent. He was still standing and fine until the very end. If he's still able to stand and move, I see no reason why he shouldn't be able to attack if that was what he wanted to do.

It definitely shows that it isn't impossible.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

I didn't say it was necessarily a good something

ok. I stand corrected.

You mean the Tea Partyer's are paranoid people living in the past still cowering from Reds under the Bed

Don't be silly. Commies aren't hiding under the bed anymore.

Van Jones

Van] Jones had planned to move to Washington, DC, and had already landed a job and an apartment there. But in jail, he said, “I met all these young radical people of color — I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, ‘This is what I need to be a part of.’” Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. “I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary.” In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. “I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th,” he said. “By August, I was a communist.”
www.ihatethemedia.com...

Valerie Jarrett

arrett, however, has no experience whatsoever in international negotiations. Her major area of expertise has been to help President Obama “fundamentally transform” the United States into a socialist paradise. Toward that end, for instance, Jarrett helped recruit to the Administration such luminaries as the self-identified communist revolutionary Van Jones (as green jobs czar), the Alinskyite radical Mark Lloyd (as chief diversity officer within the Federal Communications Commission), and the die-hard advocate of wealth redistribution Cass Sunstein (as regulatory czar).

She is a leftist to her core, with notable personal ties to the communist movement. Jarrett’s maternal grandfather, for instance, was a Chicagoan named Robert Taylor, who in the 1940s was involved with such communist fronts as the American Peace Mobilization and the Chicago Civil Liberties Committee. Also a member of these groups was Frank Marshall Davis, the communist journalist who in the 1970s would mentor a young Barack Obama.

www.frontpagemag.com...

So yah no I guess you just were busy with other stuff when Van Jones resigned over his notable communist high profile, and I guess the hated Glenn Beck was ridiculed for outing Jarrett.

Nope, they are out in all their glory.

railing against invisible monsters only they can see and fear, ending government intrusion into people's lives except intrusion into people's bedrooms and bodies, opposing all government spending unless it is spending money on invading countries and building more weapons and statues of the Ten Commandments on public property, and supporting the right of everyone to gorge themselves on McDonalds while preventing them from getting access to the expensive healthcare they are going to need after gorging themselves freely on plastic and mutations.

I wasn't aware that government takeover of entire sectors of the economy(healthcare, auto, finance) is considered an invisible monster, nor is fundamentally transforming society, at least not while people are looking anyway. Your method of ridicule is not the most effective in my opinion. No one cares what you do in the bedroom I assure you and I sure as heck don't want to know, but the bedroom does not belong in the classroom either. Oh yah I forgot all about Common Core Standards.....add that to my list. ok now for the McDonald's thing.... it is one thing to expose bad restaurant practices, but the food police are coming in strong like a tidal wave. Imagine a guy who owns a farm, he sells raw milk to local health food stores and in the local farmer's market.... the feds swarm in and confiscate his property.... are you ok with that too or is it just McD's you hate so much you accept this kind of food fascism?????? I ask you , because it seems to be a matter of picking and choosing what you like and don't like. You hate McDs so you think it's ok to for the federal government to tell them what to do(includes forced hike in hourly pay while we are on the subject) but let's say you believe in the natural way, so you oppose having the feds swarm in and take away your raw milk, but you think that cows farts are ruining the earth and so you agree that people should not be eating beef, so you have no problem with the Feds swarming in to the Bundy ranch.....or I dunno, maybe you think the feds should swarm the raw milk dairies because goodness knows the people are too stupid to think for themselves and need the nanny state to make all those decisions for them because goodness knows, only government studies are true.
So you see, just as Jonah Goldberg explains about liberal fascism... liberals just don't have a problem with the kind of fascism that favors their ideals.
ok so now back on topic: on protesting the police state... where is Medea Benjamin when ya need her the most? She protested not being allowed to dance at the Lincoln Memorial but is nowhere to be found in this particular shooting, nor the Ferguson riots for that matter.

The only thing we owe blacks is equal opportunity and fair treatment under the laws. We owe everyone equal opportunity and fair treatment under the laws.

I don't condone violence committed by anybody, regardless of race. My only point is, there is a perfectly valid reason why so many are sensitive to what happened in Ferguson. What they don't want is a repeat of what happened during a couple of hundred years in America. To deny that it happened is wrong, and to deny that there is any possibility of history repeating itself is naive. Hence, the sensitivity.

Show me the current laws codifying the inequalities, and we'll have a starting point to work on.

I'll wait while you look them up.

What your entire rant has shown is that you typify why I do not take the Tea Party seriously. For starters, your inability to see the world beyond your narrow, black/white and conservative/liberal paradigm also limits your understanding of the greater world, as evidenced by your assumption that, I must hate everything I disagree with, or I must be a liberal. It must suck having such a limited world view.

To be honest, I could care less whether or not you are into raw cows milk, or raw cows flesh, or the blood of pure white lambs born on Passover. I really don't. I do believe people should have the right to put whatever they want into their bodies, and laws that say otherwise are invasive. This includes not only raw milk and what not, but also drugs, alcohol, contraceptives, paint fumes, and helium if that's their thing.

I also agree that what goes on in the bedroom should not be discussed in the classroom. You know what else has no place in the class room? RELIGION.

The rest of your assumptions are really too laughable to address, not to mention your wall of text is giving me a headache. But given your parroting of just about every right wing nut talk show host, blogger, and talking head, I think it is safe to say, you continue to rage against phantoms and rodents in the basement while a herd of elephants tramples your farm.

But hey. Shadows are scary.

whatever.....rant on about how narrow you think I am.

If you believe this, then why attack me for my belief that the Nanny State shouldn't be telling me I can't have transfat in my diet? Because that is what it is about, the government is not protecting us from GMOs or aspartame.
I'm not into raw milk but a lot of people here are. blood of white lambs? WRONG religion!!!! I don't do lamb's blood, but maybe the Rothschilds do. O yah, the lambs are not born on Passover. If you are going to ridicule religion, you might as well get it right! lolol

Everything you posted to me is a huge rant about how horrible conservative values are. Go right ahead and keep ranting about how horrible it is to oppose the tyranny of the Nanny State. Because that is what Progressivism is, and always was.
All that bit about lamb's blood, nothing but ridiculous hysterics. Try sticking to reality.

On topic, do you see this case as being different than the Wilson/Brown case? Why or why not?

In all honesty the reason there's rioting in Ferguson over this stupid incident is because of the entitlement factor. "Oh we were slaves for 100 years so now we should be put on a pedestal" Well here's a few reasons why it should just be forgotten
1. The Hebrew people were enslaved for about 430 years (they're not whining)Oh and 6 million killed less than a 100 years ago.
2. If your ANCESTORS (not you) weren't brought to America all that time ago you'd be living in Africa. Do you know what that's like? I do. I'm there now. IT SUCKS!
3. The sooner racism is not brought up anymore then it is gone. Claiming racism for everything is what creates racism.
4. Stop calling yourself African Americans. You are an AMERICAN. That is creating a divide as well. They traced a large portion of Black people's DNA and did you know most was traced back to Europe? Funny huh?

These are just a few things. I've been wanting to make a thread, but I am too busy lately. Deployment sucks. Ha

S&F btw

This has to be the most non-sensical and factually incorrect post I've seen in a while. It's aggravating to me that a person attempting to abate racism should trivialize and "forget" more than 100 years of slavery.

1) the Hebrew people can't whine about their situation because the DON'T exist anymore. They were a bronze age people enslaved for more than 430 years, not the Jews killed in the holocaust.

2) Let me thank my ancestors for traveling the Middle Passage so I can live a life of privilege.

3) What creates racism is willful ignorance. There is absolutely no excuse for anybody who can come here and post to be as culturally impaired as yourself.

How ironic that you can even mention the Holocaust and then finish off by saying racism will go away if not talked about! What enabled 6 million people to die was indifference. You are soaking in white privilege

Man I just read the entire case from several sources and I can only think to blast this intentionally deceptive thread. I've been to a big university before and have never taken that drug out of fear of the exact reason this guy died and I'm black people would've called me a savage or thug high on drugs or something. The drugs would have been the validation of my death IMO.

I've seen cases with way less aggressive behavior from the victim where they were villified through drug use (as little as weed) , Facebook or even a relatives criminal history! And every time the dead person was black. It's so aggravating when people say this kid was just someone who made a mistake on a hallucenegic drug but black kids are being perceived as grown men capable of Rambo like feats

This kid didn't deserve to die and I will bet money this campus police officer did not want to kill somebody with malice very late at night possibly close to the end of his shift.

This case is is incomparable in the major ways to the Brown case and highlighting it as a double standard has only served to make some posters here look biased or ill informed.

In response to the OP...

Most white kids live in nice houses with nice families. Why would they want to go out into the cold night and riot? Blacks have been wanting to revolt since slave days, so any white on black homocide will result in protests or violence.

White convenience store owner murdered on THANKSGIVING DAY by two black perps. His wife was pregnant. You wont hear about this on CNN. No riots, hardly on the news. They murdered the guy in cold blood for nothing other than testing their guns. This is what cops face every day, and when one of the cops shoots one of them thats the only time you hear about it. At one point one of the perps shot at a customer who was simply trying to get away.

Yes, some cops are trigger happy, but THIS is the part of the equation, this criminality which is rampant in some areas, does not see the light of day.
