State Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin has fantastical proposal

On Tuesday state Duma speaker Sergey Naryshkin spoke at an international conference dedicated to looking at possible ways of overcoming the current crisis in Europe. He apparently had this to say:

“I have one fantastical proposal – I would suggest that European partners oust the USA from NATO,” Naryshkin said on Tuesday, as he spoke at an international conference dedicated to looking at possible ways of overcoming the current crisis in Europe...“I am sure that after this step, the level of stability and security in Europe would quite soon return to its proper state,” the Russian politician added, as quoted by the ITAR-TASS news agency.

Even though

The United States provides about 72 percent of the 28-member alliance’s budget and over 1.4 million servicemen in a 3.3 million-strong NATO force.

And in September had this to say:

...recent steps taken by the US and its allies were “cynical and irresponsible” and could cause a new Cold War

So what are your thoughts on this? Does he speak the truth or more "cold war 2" rhetoric?

Well...he's right in one respect...the USA is on it's last legs.

It's going down the pan and will take Europe with it kicking and screaming.

Best cut the rope and align ourselves with the on the up, energy rich Russian Federation rather than the 'also ran', failing and increasingly corrupt and desperate USA.

US owns the European leaders by the balls. If US wants Europe to go straight to hell and be on front lines with Russia. Europe will oblige like the little puppets they are.

The only point in bring down the US is so the banking industry can consolidate its assets into a smaller barrel. When you talk about "bringing down the US or on its last legs" it means to replace it with a socialistic form of Govt, which the banks love because it brings them more money. who do they use to bring all this about it is the world Media sources.

what the banks fear the most is that the people of the US will not go for the socialistic reforms it wants and will try to re-establish the co-equal interactive Govt that was originally started in 1776 but killed by the banking industry in the 1830's.

To have a govt for the people by the people destroys banking principles and profits. and interactive govt that equally represents people and not the interests of banks, media and big business would cause people to take control of their own lives and destinies instead of being manipulated and controlled by the hierarchal reigns of the banking industries already established world Governments and Media centers.

I don't want to or advocate 'bringing down the USA'...but i'm a realist, it's happening from within, they're doing it to themselves and have been quietly committing suicide for decades.

The classic signs of a failing superpower are in evidence everywhere...militarised civilian police, increasing oppression of the citizenry, corporate corruption of politics and politicians, ineffectual and bought and paid for MSM.

I'd give America another 10 - 30 years tops.

Cutting our losses with the US is the thing to do if self preservation is what we want.

Ever been to Russia? If you had you would have gagged on the 'increasingly corrupt' comment. No question the US political and business landscape has grown increasingly corrupt. No argument there. But Russia? Russia is synonymous with corruption. You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone there NOT corrupt. The Russian Mafia controls everything... including the government.

Sergey Naryshkin failed to state the obvious, that the simplest solution to resolve the crisis in Ukraine, as contrary to what he said Europe is not in crisis, is for his pals to stop their meddling.

Now, that would be fantastical!

Then everyone could get on with their lives.

We should start by pulling all our military support for the UK. Then the next time there is a world war, you can ask the Russians to come over and spill their blood for you instead of us.

Russia spilled a lot of blood, in the allies behalf, long before the US even decided to join the fight.
