i watched an old ted talk last night, a lady had a stroke, she is a neuromapping scientist by the way, and she documented 4 hrs of her stroke, her conclusion was, when the left side of her brain quit functioning, which was where her hemmorage was, she went out of her body and was a floating ball of energy, very interesting ted talk, but it made me wonder, do we shut down our left side of the brain temporarily to detach from our physical body? at work so cant embed, but def worth watching, it is part of the neurological series of ted talks, the first one of that series i believe....so i guess that woulld classify as some sort of evidence right?

Interesting videos but why if this is so good for consciousness and the soul is this guy charging money to learn?

evolvedministry.com...

If it were real he'd be running around teaching everyone for free... surely?

Smells of BS to me but the only experience I have is meditation - which can get you feeling pretty funky and seeing some good closed eye visuals but these are all products of physical reactions.

Is prayer BS? Is mysticism BS? Is meditation BS? Is yoga BS? Is reality itself BS? I think you can ask these questions about almost anything. Descartes certainly did. That's a mind trip in and of itself.

Then you've never meditated and thought your eyes were open? Saw your whole room, and then, and THEN opened your eyes??

Ever seen behind your head??? Seen in 360 degrees?
Meditation can turn into biological feedback if you want it too. You can make yourself "high" and seeing colors.. Or you can BE.

I can make money selling hotdogs.. It doesn't mean hotdogs are fake.. No one should pay money to understand that GOD IS and they ARE IT.

You don't think cars are fake or bad because people sell them?

Some people feel the need to make a buck from other people who are not on the same level. You can make money with knowledge or the illusion of knowledge.

That has no bearing on what reality is.

Greetings- First things first.. Do You 'think' You are Your Body? If You're under the impression that what makes You 'You' is Your body, You'll not 'leave it' until it is time for the part that is after 'Life'.. You are NOT Your body.

Are You certain You haven't experienced it already but cannot find a category to place it?

Have some "Faith" (pun intended) Because each 'Self' is 'different' (The Creator experiencing Self) each Path will be different this is known as "Your Mileage May Vary"...

Seek and Ye shall find..

namaste

P.S. Can You quickly visualize YourSelf sitting outside a large box/shed/side? Do it real quick (it is easier visualizing doing a task. Mine is tossing little rocks, like when You were a kid and You were waiting..) What color shirt were You wearing?

Also see: Buddhist definition of 'empty mindedness'

P.S.S. Enjoy Your trip!

Meditation wise just closed eye visuals and euphoria, sometimes bright white lights. Never thought I had opened my eyes when I hadn't.

You're missing the point about the money...

Cars and hot dogs are there to be exploited and make money.

Soul growing spiritualism should by nature not be about making money and more about enlightening people. Cannot compare selling soul enlightening techniques with hot dogs.

No I think my body is me? I exist because therefor I am? But that's due to thoughts surely?

I have had dreams where I felt they were so real, that I had to physically check things to make sure it wasn't.

For example, I once dreamed about having a certain computer, it felt so real in my dream, that when I woke up I went looking for it in my room to see if it was real, then quickly came to realize my mind had played a cruel trick.

What color shirt were You wearing?

Sky blue of course! Only because my favourite football team are nicknamed Skyblues and I own 28 seasons worth of shirts and near enough wear one daily.

Haha.. Everyones trying to sell hotdogs.. Everyone is trying to sell how cool they are.. Everyone is selling their own thoughts onto other people..

Because one person is trying to make money has no bearing on someone like me who gives away everything I learn for free.

It has no bearing on what is truth.. That was my point.

"spiritual things shouldn't cost money."

Spiritual things are all in your head and DO NOT cost money.

Go for it.

You miss my point that some people feed you if you are hungry and others like doritoes company want you to pay money to eat..
It doesn't mean eating is wrong or fake or bad.

EATING to LIVE costs MONEY yet that has none of your suspicions as being FAKE... Money = Fake. Especially in small sample sizes.

Have you ever bought a book?
That's paying for ideas.
Don't forget you can't prove ideas exist on their own..

is it really that weird for people to charge money to teach another person or multiple people a skill?

plus like the guy himself has mentioned. he has like 350+ free youtube demonstrations and lessons/introductions to doing this kind of thing. people have to make a living at some point.

No....no...and no. It is very real. As your denial delusion denunciation of same...in a RANT forum proves.

You're just mad because you don't understand, can't understand....nor want to.

Education on a topic is a wonderful thing. You should try getting one on this topic.

Forty personal years of singular (mine alone)...along with millions of others...proves you wrong.

Take a class...try it...and get back.

I feel sorry for your closed mind. It keeps things from getting in....

Simple answer, yes it is.

More difficult concept is "why is this even a question in 2014?"
Like many threads, just the fact someone asks this just floors me. I get you have some sort of problem with the concept of astral projection, but this is also easily answered via some researching on your part.

The many analogies already within the thread were great in helping you define a way to ask yourself the question and then go find an answer.

If it was just for conversations sake, well....it was pretty adversarial.

The longer answer to your question is some things in life have to be experienced. All things can be learned, but no one can experience them for you, facilitating your own knowing.

What I find worrisome is that in 2014 people are still clinging to outdated information. For humans to move forward once something has been proven to be incomplete information it's time to "let it go".

If it's something "not within your personal reality" I have to ask you, why not???
Respectfully, the onus is on you, not those who have broadened their horizons.

I think therefore I am means I am what I am. I am thinking so I obviously exist and I am thinking.. Freewill....

I meditated one time and my body had a separate consciousness to me. It said things with it's mouth (my mouth?) That I did not say.

You would be surprised..

I was also in the ARMY. All we did was mental projections. Mind control is real, even if it's only you controlling your mind.

You are not a body... If your arm is chopped off are you now less of a mind?? It's puppet technology. Your consciousness is not physical even when it uses physical things like memory in a brain.

Most media will tel you thatyou are a body and YOU need food and all this... Youa re using your body to be HERE. Being here is a good thing. We have this.. We can win. And even if we don't win.. the idiots who think it matters will be left behind..

How can you dream if you are a body???
Just really think about WHAT you are...

How can you be awake and be asleep. What are YOU?
How can you be in a room and be in a castle from 700 years ago? What are YOU?

You are consciousness, not bodies.. You are water, not the cup water is in, even if that cup makes you into a certain shape... Even if physical reality makes you a certain shape it doesn't mean you are the shape.. You could be water flowing into the shape.. Doesn't mean the shape is the one who has consciousness..

Wasn't there a medical study done in the last few years that said our consciousness actually resided outside of our bodies?
Off to go find the link....

All that writing, and yet not any proof of the sort.

Opinions count, don't get me wrong, but it's your opinion that you're trying to give me as fact.

I know nothing about your personal years, because they're personal.

My mind is closed on these type of subjects for now, because just like my beliefs in Ufology, their is no proof. It seems like the experience can only be told by word of mouth, the same as many other subjects in the similar category.

"If it were real he'd be running around teaching everyone for free... surely? "

I've always thought this is the worst argument a person could make with regards to anything. Its really not that hard to use discernment, theres even a free trial for both courses for a week and if your not into you don't have to pay anything.

No, everyone has to make money. Thats how our society works. If it were free he would need another full time job which would leave much less time to teach others how to reach the same levels of consciousness. Its only a dollar a day and by no means are these guys getting rich from this stuff.

You do not need a teacher to learn the stuff. This stuff is all free to learn in the first place. All you need is human body and a brain. The rest is just there. Some people need a teacher to push them. Another reason he charges for it, is because if you don't charge for it, you get a ton of not serious people signing up trolling the forums, asking for absolute proof and slowing down the progress of everyone who is serious about furthering their level of consciousness. You ever hear the saying, "don't cast pearls to swine"? Consider people who refuse to look for proof yet say there is no proof, the swine, and consider all these astral projectors teachings and experience and knowledge lumped together the pearls.

And by the way, physical reality is a product of consciousness, not the other way around.
