Telling them to disperse, not go home.

i know...
if i said home it was my mistake...in an earlier post i said they told them to get out of the street or be subject to arrest...told them about 20 times before the gas came...
what were they supposed to do?

we always see on these boards why cant they use some non lethal weapon...well, they did and people are still pissed

My take away from the last three months is that the Ferguson Police Department and St. Louis County do not give a # and so, consequently, now neither do the citizens of Ferguson.

I wonder if this nihilist standoff can be contained to just Ferguson?

I agree. I wear masks everyday at work, the medical kind I mean. They don't do much for smells, at all, and they def don't do squat for the eyes.

I'm surprised there are no like legit militia types out there protesting. Not their fight I guess?

I hope somebody is protecting the library. Wouldn't want all those books to get stolen.

you kidding? those rioters dont know how to read!

ETA: for the record, all my comments are about the retards destroying property, not the peaceful protestors

Protesters are doing a much better job at crowd control and peace keeping than the cops.

Does anyone remember the commands to the protestors first time round?

"Disperse or you will be arrested and/or other actions"

I'll never forget that vague statement.

guess other actions mean the gas

Can I ask how you know this?

I'm assuming that's not a fact at all, rather an ill-assumed assumption.

I was not there to see the incident with the gunshots or Michael Brown.

I am not there in the middle of the protests to know what is going on.

I believe I am seeing people amongst the protestors that are looking implicitly for violence.

IMHO, the Prosecutor's statements do not sound like those of someone who was looking for a fair judgement.

And the Police appear to be agitating the MSM with shining lights into their cameras, etc.

SNAFU

The cops need to be proactive in the future, just put up the Nike and Apple stores next to the police station and they can round up the looters lickety split.

When you destroy someone else's property because your mad, you are apparently the product of poor education.

I have NO problem with protesting, I DO have a problem with destroying someone's hard earned living

I'm not seeing nihilism but I can tell you with my activist ear to the ground, this is long from over. A lot of unity and merging has happened since August.

Also, the use of teargas appears to be somewhat indiscriminate.

And why should peaceful protesters disperse? Why not just remove the offending perpetrators? Going down the exact same as last time only more desperate because people feel helpless and hopeless now that the verdict is in.

These CNN reporters are nuts... When Cops are firing tear gas at you, LEAVE.... These guys are going to get hurt trying to report something we are watching and seeing..

On the news feeds it looks like there's more press there now than protesters.
