it was not cool to drag it out and announce a verdict and make people wait..
that is asking for trouble..

that said, its not a good idea to announce the verdict(especially if there will be no charges) it 4-5pm when there are lots of people out and kids on the street.

look at the stream now

they just had the entire intersection blocked off in all 4 directions..cars honking to get through and they were blocked.

would have been far more tense if it would have been 5pm when there were lots of cars..

It's so utterly bizarre and American to see ads rolling before the live streams of the biggest episode of social unrest since the 90s.

This is not going to be a grand jury decision because it is a social event with hopes of becoming a reveloution by the gov. and is sponsored by your average products all buying highly priced ad space.

I just don't get it I guess.

Do we not hear endless stories of cops using tasers on people for anything and everything?
How about stories of cops using batons and piling up on a suspect?

Weren't there two cops in a cop car and one unarmed 18 year old?

I really don't understand the reason for all of the shots.

I can deal with freaking out and shooting someones hand as they reached into my car, if thats true, but all of the other shots?

How can anyone justify taking the life of an unarmed man?

At the most, this cop could have just shot him in the leg to stop him in his tracks and await backup?

But now he is dead.

Can we please not clog up the thread with more debate about the shooting itself?
