Anyone else notice that the heat guy turned up on Bill Cosby, right when Hollywood's gay pedophelia stories were starting to come out?

I could be for monetary and/or political reasons, but Cosby pushing the current big wigs off the news cycle defiantly just happened.

I really haven't paid much attention to the info that's coming out, but am I the only one that's noticed whenever something like this happens, it turns into a dog pile? One person says something and then suddenly dozens are coming forward all at once?

Well here in the UK one guy being brought down led to more neo.g investigated so if their are people accused of Pedophilia it will come back around.

Half the bigwigs in Britain are Pedos....
Id say a great many in other countries too.....
Its part of the psychology of power....they need some old fashioned ethnic cleansing....

That's common in serial rape cases due to the nature of what it's like for rape victims to speak out. If more victims come forward then even more will come out of the woodwork. Then it becomes "cases" instead of an individual being dragged through the mud and their name being ruined. Most people do not believe rape victims when they speak out. They will find reasons and everything under the sun but believe the idea that "hey, they might have been raped".

Especially if it involves a much beloved celebrity who represents any type of moral mission that they may relate to.

I understand all that. I was referring to celebrities only. A la the recent gay rape campaign in Hollywood that wound up with several people recanting or suddenly going mum entirely, and the one who started it all essentially backing off entirely.

Cosby actually brought this on himself. He asked people on the internet to meme him, and well, you know how crude the internet can be....I see no coverup here personally. I do however not think that ALL of the people coming forward are true victims. Also, I wonder how many of them slept with him on their own accord?

Haven't heard anything about "Hollywood's gay pedophilia stories"... What's that about? All I can find is something about a documentary, "An Open Secret". Is that what you're talking about? If so, I guess it's because no one's heard of the accused and Bill Cosby is an international icon.

The reason Cosby is in the news : Recently, a comedian, Hannibal Buress, brought up the rape allegations in his stand-up routine and it was video-taped. People started to see it and ask questions and Google it... Then, Cosby's people posted on Twitter begging people to "meme" him, to show how ridiculous the accusations were, but it backfired, because people DID meme him in a very negative way.

Three days later, one of the alleged victims posted more details about her experience and it went viral. Since then, alleged victims have been joining her. Sixteen of them, I believe.

Why Cosby is Going Viral Now

Well if regular rape cases are any indication it's very likely that rape victims will recall their testimony once they get into the whole mess. The reason for that is it becomes something where your name suddenly becomes synonymous with a scandal(good luck ever finding a job again). Speaking out if a celebrity has raped you will result in being branded all kinds of dirty names. Not to mention death threats and everything else under the sun. People do not believe rape victims the majority of the time. Not only that but they will demean and essentially bully(too kind a word) by calling names and essentially blaming them for the crime. That's why most rapists get away. Now add celebrity and media to the mix and you see how big of a mess it all becomes for the victims.

Now why would everyone go quiet suddenly? Could be caused from all I stated above plus whatever bullying/pressure is coming from the celebrities themselves(and their lawyers). Usually they will offer a monetary settlement with a nondisclosure contract, at the same time using bullying tactics, basically stating that if it's not accepted, here is the alternative type deal.

If I had my way I would make it illegal to settle out of court for any type of sexual abuse allegation. This sort of thing really needs to continue on. At the same time though, I think public opinion really needs an overhaul on how we approach sexual assault claims. It seems the first thing people do is find reasons not to believe. It's really amazing.

And THAT'S the reason many rape victims don't bother reporting it. Because someone who knows absolutely NOTHING about it will call them liars.

We have a case in the UK where a footballer raped a 19 year old he was convicted, but still she has had to change her name, has lost her life as she knew it, is attacked.on social media by his family and friends. Sometimes there is safety in numbers.

The Bill Cosby is a serial rapist thing has waited a LONG time
to reach the media . Victims have been stonewalled for years.

The first person to come forward with a lawsuit was silenced with a monetary agreement AFTER 13 OTHER 'JANE DOE'S' testified as being willing to come forward that the exact same thing had happened to them with Cosby- being drugged and waking up without any clothes on and only half remembering what may have happened to them.

The women who are putting their names out there now are many of the Jane Doe's.

Since the statute of limitations is long up and most of the women are pointedly saying they're not after money, I see no reason for them to lie and every reason for them to keep quiet due to idiotic comments like 'I wonder how many of the slept with him' or 'they're only after his money' besides their conscience at having kept quiet so long about something that happened to them when they were only teenagers and trusted a father figure and celebrity.

Somewhere there's a bunch of sycophants and handlers that provided Cosby with the quaaludes, orchestrated these hotel room visits and drove the taxis that he called to whisk them away when he was done with them.

I was listening to NPR yesterday and they were interviewing one of journalists who had written a story about Cosby and the guy basically admitted that he didn't follow through with researching the sexual assault claims because it would have cost him his job. Instead he just continued to write the article about the original topic which wasn't nearly as serious. Guy asked him it was like finding a corpse and continuing to walk past it...then the journalist stated that it was more like nodding at the corpse and saying someone should really do something about that.

This is what I don't understand about the Jimmy Seville case in this country, people saying after if we had said anything we would have lost our jobs. Isn't trying to stop children getting raped worth losing your job over?

You'd think. But if you have ever worked for a corporation(which a huge swath of people do) and the corporation's sister(government) you'll know that you have to do all sorts of things that make no rational sense and sometimes morally injuring.

Paying media jobs are actually very difficult to come by, especially in journalism. Most of the paying jobs are for corporations that are a part of the tightly controlled MSM. This is not an excuse for the choices made by journalists, rather a reason. The incentive to thoroughly research something is gone and in many cases the journalists are silenced when they do try and research the topics that matter. Then you just become another idiot with a bachelors squealing on the internet with no ability to pay your light bill.

Settle down tiger....I didnt say they were all lying....you ever heard of someone extorting someone by falsely accusing them of rape or another crime? It happens and to try and attack me and act like it doesnt, is VERY ignorant.

This, this right here IS the fault of the victim if they were indeed assaulted. If I or a close family member were sexually assaulted, I guarantee you I am NOT settling for ANYTHING out of court, I would take it as far as possible in the criminal justice system. Settling out of court either means you were not being truthful in the allegations, OR that you can be bought.
