I know most will disagree but a 'one world government' already exists and always has.
We may have different currencies, languages and laws but we are all on the same planet and therefore effect one another in our actions, irregardless of how independent each 'feels' they are.

As for a central ruling body of Earth, well that always seems to follow the money, since power and influence follow suit. I don't see the difference between rich Arab oil czars and South American drug czars in this sense, even if morally different. Which leads to the real issue and the truth of what is in control - Greed. All large scale decisions, even philanthropic ones ground themselves in cost in the end.

Our evolution has been deemed stalemate by excess and greed and there is only one alternative to offset the downward spiral we are stuck in right now, a war and a very big one at that is needed.
Do I want to die or watch my loved ones die? Of course not, but at the same time what is living right now when motivation is fueled by economic factors in almost every aspect of daily life. I consider myself rich, I don't need to work but I do, I own everything cars, houses and my children's (college) educations are already paid for if needed, I have all I want. There is a problem though, I have utter discontent and disrespect for the actions of my species as proven time and time again. Now and then one person does something good or a group helps make something better but it's not enough and it never will be. This needs to be adjusted from the top down not the bottom up!

So NWO, WW3 - I can't wait! I think it's time to zero out the board and start over and I'm willing to sacrifice myself for the better of my species in turn if it helps. And I'm sure there are many others like me waiting to do the same.

Be back in a few weeks J, AB

What if we would invent a relative direct democrazy? Where every election also considers the ones not voting, unique answers and that would make sure those representing us ignore the will of the people, or who is just trying to sell it. Maybe what our represantive democrazy needs is just more easy interpretable directions. We should let them know using our digital all seeing-eye (the internet) And make polls about everything. Just start a "do it yourself internet democracy ensurance, from us the people" just so we know, "if you would have looked, we told you what we want". Force them to follow the wish of the masses by just creating an extrem_poll-ing about everyrthing.
Just don't know on which level to start. We the people from Earth maybe, because it is ATS on the Interweb. "We the people of Earth demand access to clean water for everybody." (sounds like I am practicing my I want peace on earth speech for a beauty contest...)
I don't know, ideas are welcome.

Don't worry though- As Havok stated, we never have had a choice. There will be a single power, and chances are they will sort out the population problem by force.

Well that's a pretty defeatist *just bend over and take it* type attitude if you don't mind me saying so.

No fight in ya eh?

I disagree, we have the interwebs and should be able to discuss options openly among ourselves.

Screw 'The Powers That Be"

Yeah just bend over and take it but with a caveat. Let this all pass so that when it crumbles the resistance to it is not to blame. in an electrical circuit when the resistance fades the circuit self-destructs...
