Notes
Two people playing separate songs,
But they just don't sound quite right.
Singing their solo throughout the day,
Working on the score late at night.
It doesn't matter what notes they change,
Their music always sounds a little wrong,
Each knowing it needs something more,
Alone, both trying to perfect their song.
Two people walking along the street,
Stop and stare into each other's eyes.
Feeling each other's musical beat,
Together their music comes alive.
Together, they live a dyad life,
Him, her husband, her, his wife.
Not long before a third comes along,
Adding another note to their song.
Life keeps moving along for them,
The music is finally starting to flow,
Some notes are sharp, some are flat,
But all help them to learn and grow.
In the end, they play their song,
For all the world, a sweet symphony.
Of all the ups and downs they've had,
Their moments play for eternity.
How does your sheet of music look?
Have you filled it up with different notes?
Or have you been playing the same old song,
The same sound repeating for far too long.
Thanks,
