Hi Guys,

Just seen this on Janes website linkage:

It appears the the IAF are have stall and spin issues with the in development Sitara IJT. (to be honest the tail looks tiny and I'm sure that the wing could provide a dead spot over the horizontals at certain angles of attack.

Stalls and spins are never good but I'm sure if your a new pilot to fast(ish) jet's the results could be terrible.

Interesting read and slightly more worrying they been trying to fix for some time :-(

Thanks for this thread, it made me laugh!

I remember when I used to work for both R-R and BAe Systems, I was hearing stories of how the Hawk was being ripped off and made on the cheap, altered designs to include less bracing, stringers, ect, in the wings.

Looking at the IJT it does look a bit hawkish.

I'm just wondering if that's why BAe Systems have been asked to consult / sort the problem out.

I bet it won't be cheap. Lol
