The Chinese 727 is a prime example.

Yeah, brilliant copy and paste job (which they found out on first takeoff)

Uncle Sam might have built in a few hidden surprises before he let the Iranians have the drone, like a hit home function or something like that.

Yes and Iran might have found it, loaded it up with C4 and laugh as it head home to its US controllers.

First rule of war is not to under estimate the enemy but you know that already didn't you !

Just because it's not top of the line technology doesn't meant that it still doesn't have some important equipment on it. But compared to other UAVs out there, the RQ-170 is the equivalent of an F-15.

As for the stealth at the airshow, it DIDN'T have all its systems active. There are systems on all aircraft, of every nation, that are "use only in time of war". Last I checked, that didn't include going to an airshow.

As for rockets, you can get them cheap, but they'll never be that cheap if you want reliable guidance on them.

And I bet the recoil would knock down your R/C B-25.
Or not - how big is the plane?

Oh \#.now we have to buy a whole pile of unmanned drones to go along with 100million dollar fighter aircraft......
The idea of a fighter being mother to a flock of them sounds appealing....
It puts a whole new range of power in the cockpit of an F22......

Yeah, the video the Iranians are showing is definitely not of the full scale model. It looks more like large RC size with the way is jerks and moves past the camera. It even has an antenna sticking out the top and the landing gear looks like it came off of a toy.
Can we conclusively file this one with the F313?

There's no way that's a full sized aircraft. Look at it compared to the road, it's tiny. The RQ-170 has a 66 foot wingspan, so any copy of it should be similar in size. That road would have to be huge for a 60+ foot wingspan aircraft to be that small compared to it.

I wonder how much stuff 'IN TIME OF WAR" would be whipped out if we took a solar hit or an EMP hit?

I can't help but think the sound has been changed from a whining ducted electric fan to sound like a jet!
