Yeah i just re read your OP and noted that they are different sizes again i cant really say if the stars i see are different sizes because usually when i get them i try to take a few deep breaths and move my head around and close my eyes to make them go away so i can keep doing what im doing, its like lots of 'stars' swirling around my vision sometimes they move quickly around and sometimes not, it was a concern though for me so i asked my ophthalmologist while in there and he basically said its normal i see lots of stuff floating around, i remember when i was pregnant i asked a midwife because it was getting more frequent then but my blood pressure was normal so she suggested that it is probably from a migraine, i said i don't get them and she said some people don't they just get the visual disturbances like i described, i didn't think that was possible but it is like WhiteAlice also pointed out aswell it can be a sign of many things, which is making me wonder now why my eye doctor dismissed it as being normal so quick, i have alot of scar tissue over my right eye from reoccuring ulcers in the area, basically instead of getting cold sores on my mouth i get them in my eye its called keratitis and i don't wish it on anyone. But i thought that may be a factor because my cornea is damaged but it isn't..

Yeah im sure if it were something on the wall then you would have found it by now i do hope for your sake it is not something to do with your health it is still interesting to me anyway.

I see energy/quantum particles and have since childhood. I too have been to the eye doctor and have mentioned it to her on several occasions, each time she says that I have perfectly healthy eyes and does not know why I would be seeing that but tells me not to worry about it. My blood pressure is also healthy and on the low end. If you have just begun to see this star thing that you describe, I would definitely get your vitals checked out if you haven't already, just to make sure nothing physical is causing this phenomenon. Another thing, it could possibly be HPPD. Which is very similar to what I've always seen but not quite. In my case, the energy isn't just like static it is ever changing and moving and is, I believe, radiant aether. With regards to HPPD, one thing it mentions is seeing things primarily in darkness (like points of light), so I thought it might be relevant.

Try to get them to change colors, like another poster suggested. If it isn't just a hallucination, that should work. And even if it is just a hallucination, our perception of reality is a hallucination and just because it is a hallucination doesn't mean that it is not real. Dr. Oliver Sachs wrote a really great book on the subject, if anyone is interested.

hey
Like I said before in my other post I have been having it happen for over 10 years now and probably even longer than that I have always seen stuff floating before my eyes, I just checked out your link and I don't think that is what I have but im not too sure, maybe its something I should bring up with my GP rather than doctor, the term 'visual snow' that was used in the article is how I would explain some of the stuff I see because sometimes its just small dots that are translucent moving around, but basically I see all kinds of stuff in my vision shapes, colours, patterns, stars you name it really, how do you know what you see is energy/quantum particles? pretty interesting topic, it does get annoying sometimes but im just used to it now like seeing floaters constantly. I know I need glasses an optometrist did a vision check on me when I last had my eye thing and said that I shouldn't even be driving with how bad my vision is and that I only use one eye, even tho both my eyes look fine he considers it a lazy eye, I thought a lazy eye was when it doesn't move around like its just lazy and doesn't focus..

Honestly I don't want to kill your buzz but if you guys notice this happening more and more frequently it could mean your retina is detaching? so maybe it can't hurt to see a doctor or else go blind?

Well i hate too kill your buzz too but all of the people in this thread mentioning experiencing this including myself already clarified that we have all seen ophthalmologists (eye doctor/specialists) about this already..

It is just a few minutes before 2 am in the morning here in Boise, Idaho. I just saw the stars again on my bedroom door and wanted to report on it while still fresh in my mind. However, there is a change. The images appeared in a different location on the door and most significant is that the shape of the large star is larger. Its new dimension is approximately 3 inches tall. There were still 2 smaller stars to the upper left but only 2 stars to the right remained and they were not in the same position to the large star.. There were two other small lights but their shape was less fixed. None of them were moving or blinking. Non of them would change color, they are all still a pale blue.
I did all the testing again. I could see them with either eye when looking at them. I could see them from several different angles. They did not appear on any other wall or surface as I changed my view. While still dark I could walk into the living room and walk back in and still see them. Once again they disappeared when I turned on the light. If what I am seeing is a hallucination then why the somewhat consistent shape size and color. It doesn't occur every night nor at the same time of night.
I have a new camera and could try to capture a photo but I am not familiar with it to set it up for a night photo. I don't have a tripod yet either but I will try to have it all set to go if I see it again.
From my recent health check up my blood pressure was 125/76 and my blood sugar was 102. My total cholesterol was 161 and my good was slightly low at 39. My bad was 122.
Well I am going to try to go back to bed and get some more sleep. Talk to you all later

Try going over the places where you've seen the stars with a magnet to see if there's any metal or magnetic material in the wall.
Also, if you would, try this test: get as powerful a magnet you can find, preferably a horseshoe magnet, and look at it in total darkness. If you see what would appear to be light emanating from any part of the magnet, you may be what is called su'is or clairvoyant, with the ability to see light which is usually unseen.

From Oahspe: 'Su'is, Suis. Clairaudience and clairvoyance. A person who can see with the eyes closed, or one who can hear angel voices. Not imaginary, but that which can be proved by experiment.'

Is there a window in this room ?

You say it only happens when it is dark and the light is out in the room. Is it also always dark outside ?

Is the moonlight or another light source coming in the window or from another room in the house hitting the wall and creating some type of visual effect ?

Do you have a nightlight in the room(s) where you see the star pattern ?

If there is a window, could the window have smudges of star shapes on it which are causing this star effect when it is dark to hit the wall where you are seeing them because of the way light is entering the dark room ?

Are there any electronic devices in the house that emit a little light that could cause this pattern on the wall when the light are out ?

Just some thoughts

That's interesting im now wondering if it is a reflection off something, might be a good idea to have a lurk outside and see if you can find anything out there if its possible for something to reflect through a window or anything, but that doesn't explain it coming and going through the night obviously if something was there that was going to cause a reflection then it would be there all through the night not only until you get up and turn the light on!

by the way I just made your flag count 666, lol. your whole thing has a lot of 6's actually.

Thanks for noticing the sixes. Now somebody please add another flag and get me out of the 666 mode. When I place my hand over the large star to block any external light source I can still see the star. With my hand just an inch off it, it still remains. All my window shades are drawn anyway. There is nothing reflecting light onto it. This recent change in position and the larger star is interesting. If it is an unconscious projection of my mind it certainly seems to change on its own. I am laughing out loud because it is such a mystery that my brain can't seem to figure it out.

I haven't gotten to the point of asking someone to spend the night to see if they see it. My house is a small one bedroom and my couch would be considered a torture device to try to sleep on. Since it doesn't appear every night it would be hit or miss anyway.
My strategy at this point is to read up on my new camera and have it ready to take a picture. I just ran a strong magnet over the area on the door and detected no metal content.
I appreciate everyone's contributions. The house I live in is close to a hundred years old. Maybe I have a ghost with a sense of humor.

It could be your sound receptors on your retina that you are seeing. Sometimes, I see those patterns with one eye close and a little bit of light filtering the other one. I used to have a physiotherapy treatment with and ultrasound device and I remember seeing them more clearly, as they were stimulated by the ultrasonic waves.

First of all - Retinal detachment is not intermittent. If it had detached it would not leave you alone until it fixed. I don't think that's your problem.

As someone who has had migraine auras for the past 12 years I'd also like to weigh in. IF you can not see them when you cover the image I would also doubt migraine auras. Remember, auras can happen without the pain - in fact, they are rather common. More so than you'd ever believe. They can also start at any age (but, mostly in youth/teens/young adulthood) My grandmother started getting them in her 40s for around 10 years. So yes, any age group can get them. But, if you can't see them when you cover them it's not a migraine aura.

A retinal migraine usually occurs in on eye - so if you are covering the image up over one eye it may blank it out. But again, you say you see it with both eyes. And retinal migraines often cause temporary blindness (though, not always - i get sparkles/positive visuals)

Migraines are a retina/brain issue - therefore if they only appear in one place in the home and when you look somewhere else they are not there. They are not migraines.

This could be some sort of hallucination, sleep "episode".... I too have them in my sleep at times. Often times of stress. And believe me I have been ADAMANT there was something in the room, on the walls etc. I've been found brushing down walls trying to get something. And i'm half awake and remember it completely! Or... you can never rule our the paranormal

I'm not here to give out medical advise and if you feel concerned at all go see the doc (I know you already say you have - I'm just covering my back - I'm no medical professional!)

Latest update. Last night I sat up watching a Ken Burns documentary on WWII. You can imagine my surprise when the narrator pointed out that families would place pale blue stars in their windows to let people know they had a loved one serving in the war. The blue star was changed to gold if the person were to die. It is dark outside and I am sitting there in my recliner thinking about what I just heard, it was sureal.
So I turn off the TV and my reading lamp and just about jump out of my seat for the whole room is full of pale blue stars, on the walls and on the ceiling. They were in places I had never seen them before. They responded in the same way as the others. I sensed that somehow I was being given a message since I had been asking for some clarification.
Later I finally went to sleep but about an hour later awoke from a very vivid dream. In the dream I was witnessing a huge tsunami rushing toward land. There were evergreen trees and it did not look anything like the tropics.
I have never consider myself a prophet or seer so what am I seeing? A future catastrophe? I don't know. Some of you responders have encouraged me that I should know. Maybe I am not listening hard enough to discern what is being communicated. Why would the entire living room now be covered in blue stars?
I guess I need to continue to ask for clarity. Peace

What the..... may i ask? And you may have answered this.

Are they structured stars as we would see in pictures etc? The 5 pointed ones? Or sparkles or what? Again, if you've answered this already sorry!

It is remembrance Sunday. It's all a bit odd, I'll give you that!

As a scientist who also had premonitory visions, I am most interested by your experieces. Could you please describe the shape the stars make?

This is kind of strange. I was recently drawing a cover for my yet-to-come novel and on it I drew a six-pointed star. Its colour is pale blue.

are you on any psychoactive medicine such as adhd medication (adderall/amphet salts)?
or are you on any medicine for anything else that could produce perceptual shifts?
do you take vitamins/supplements? if so what kind?

& do you think that you could perhaps point out/circle the shade of blue that you are seeing?
i'm curious if it is the color i'm thinking it might be, as i have had experience with entities that come with a disconcerting pale blue light.
also, probably not important at all but my aura is primarily an electric blue.

and yes, i second what swanne asks: can you tell us if they form in a pattern/what is the spacing like between stars. would you be able to draw it?

I am not on any legal or illegal psychoactive medication. I take a men's multi vitamin/mineral. The pattern of the stars seems to be fairy consistent with each grouping having two smaller to the upper left and two to four on the lower right. The size of the larger star has doubled on one occasion while the smaller did not increase. The color of blue is somewhere around the top layer, third one in from the left. They are your typical five pointed stars the you would draw.

There has been no further manifestations of stars. I have had my camera outside its case and ready to try to take a photo but there is nothing happening. I am ready to accept that they were an event I don't understand but I am OK with that.
