No it doesn't work that way. lol

You don't subtract the percentages from each other to get the difference.

If the no increase by 4.2% the yes will decrease equally.

Forget about looking at the no vote percentage just look at the yes votes that may help.

54.2% tells you everything you need to know on where the vote sits. The same can be said about the no percentage but I think that is confusing you.

I am not a good teacher but I do know the correct answer which is 4.2%. I such at explaining this.

I am glad because I was struggling to explain.

Anyway it looks like the yes is up to 54.3% so I think that trend will continue.

My state is a lost cause I will definitely be moving sometime soon. I wonder what real estate prices are like in states where it is legal. Eh who am I kidding I like the warmth it will definitely be Central America for me and the money I have saved will go a lot further there. I am thinking about a big arse sailboat. A double wide of the sea.

It is late here time for sleep.

Guten Morgen- Now that Rick Scott didn't have to spend $75M of "His own $$$" for a job that pays $130k/yr. from $$ He scammed out of that healthcare debacle, Sheldon Adelson will now be able to get His 'card games' into the Seminole casinos, thus screwing the Native (AGAIN!!)

Per Your South 'Merica plans.. I'd choose Uruguay due to it's exchange rate (22-1) and $3.00/gr. cannabis rate. Wait a couple years and when the U.S. is fighting betwixt "Hilary Clinton and Jeb Bush from the Bush Cabal, the Olympics will be going on next door in Brazil.. 'win/win' What 'good' would being able to see further down the 'time spiral' if'n You weren't going to make things ''easier/better''?

990' sq. ft. apt. in Montevideo, 2 blocks from the water is $68.00/month U.S. What do You think a lobster dinner would cost?

I'd also look into TheVillages™ developer dying recently.. What happened to TheSilverTour.org?

She was serriously cool. She would proud it got this far I miss her.

Update :

3,200,867 - Yes for Approval 57.36%

2,379,779 - No for Rejection 42.64%

That was weird there numbers changed drastically there.

I'd say that was a little more than weird mate.

Your first post listed down these figures on the voting;

3,880,707 - Yes for Approval

1,317,501 - No for Rejection

How do 3,880,707 'Yes' votes, suddenly later become 3,200,867 'Yes' votes?

Almost 700,000 yes votes have mysteriously vanished according to your totals? You can't vote yes, then vote again if you change your mind, so where did those 700,000 yes votes go to?

So...
D.C. passes it overwhelmingly. Legal pot, that is. Republicans have both house and senate. They want state's rights. They will also have to approve the legislation. Republicans for all their talk about big government getting in the way sure like to be the fun police and morality swat team. This should make for a fun show.

Well now that explains things pretty clear. I forgot how he had been pushing legalizing gambling in the state. I can tell you which is destructive to society but propaganda will win.

Central America is where I am aiming. I am partial to Bocas Del Toro in Panama lobster goes for $1 each $2 for the real big ones or giant crabs. Like I said though I am thinking a sailboat would be the best fit. A big enough one and I could run overnight or weekend live aboard dive tours to remote spots even take people through San Blass Islands down to S America a couple times a year.

It was close. Final vote was.

Yes for Approval------ NOP 3,357,537- 57.58%
No for Rejection------ NOP 2,473,608- 42.42%

If just 5,000 more people had voted for it statewide it would have passed.

Because they were reporting in faster.

That will be interesting to see what happens. Will they live up to their rhetoric or crap all over it.

I see places calling a victory for Alaska now and Oregon is a done deal. Welcome the third and fourth Recreational states to a growing new union.

Much of Latin America had already been questioning the futility of continuing their efforts in the US-led War on Drugs when more than 40% of the states have legalized it to some extent or another. This helps make that an even more glaring hypocrisy.

If Florida had passed it then we would have been the first southern state to do so and from there it could have really affected things for other southern states. Instead we kept a governor who wants to drug test people for social benefits but refuses to take a drug test himself.

It is a screwed up state.

My heart goes out to Florida. We know how the majority feel about this issue, 58% of the folks disappointed by the results. Those are encouraging numbers nevertheless, a wider margin than where other victories took place.

During the 80's I had made several trips with my job to different parts of Florida and always enjoyed the visits there. During that California disco period where I was from it was great to hear broadcast radio playing great tunes and seeing some kick-butt bands at the clubs down there. I can understand now why they really knew how to kick out the blues.

Better luck next time around. There are some very positive changes taking place in the world now.
