He and his former buddy Hoagland really are verging on certifiably crazy. On the one hand, they say that the Martians used teeny-weeny shut-off valves, and lived in apartments and motels about 2 cm high (Hoagland commenting on the images of Shaler) -- at the same time they claim that these same tiny Martians built a face 2 km wide.
