Why Does the Word 'Window' get blanked out in my posts???

'Defenestrate' works.

I thought it was because apple secretly ran ATS.

Results of experiment.
Old glitch; Window followed by fullstop not displaying. Now not always true.
But still true under certain circumstances which I still can't work out.

OK, I've got it.
If window is followed by fullstop, space, and then CAPITAL letter, it blanks out.

Somebody over my head will have to answer. I've tried to glitch it every possible way to no avail. Wonder if it's because I am on Linux...

It edited your post, quoted by me, in the same forum. I'm at a loss. Forum glitch would be my guess.

It only happens with the word "window" followed by a full stop, so it looks like some kind of filtering to remove some Javascript commands, like window‍.location. If any letter is capitalized then the word is not affected.

Thanks Heff and everyone else. At least I know it's not on my end, nor am I imagining it. Since my job used to require meticulous proofreading, this was driving me crazy.

i have had the same problem before and several months ago someone talked about it...it is some kind of bug...

or maybe window is just very offensive to some people

I honestly thought they just really hated the word time window.

Window with a "."

Threw it out the window.It shows up in my reply now.Let's see if it survives posting.
I was posting on a thread in the paranormal forum some days ago,about a toy my kid had that would always come on at night without the button for the sound being pushed.And said;that # got old after a while,so one night I chucked it out the window.

That's when I noticed the word windows looked like _ after posting.I edited+tried again,still no window.Then I just decded it's ATS being weird-the folks here are smart enoug to figure out what I was trying to say.

I'm always having weird stuff happen to me/my pc when I'm online(like a few months ago I had a BSoD attack and my pc just skipped over it+rebooted itself seconds later,no probs.)My husband says that's unheard of,according to other folks he mentioned it to.

Then the other day I had a BSoD attack AGAIN ffs,and this time the pc had to go into the shop for about 2 weeks.The pc shop guy gives us credit by this tiime,because of how often we give him business due to pc probs and breakdowns,Something /one is seriously trying to keep me+the hub off the interwebz,by the looks of it.

Anyway yeah I also had the windows thing,just wanted to say.No idea why that specific word offends.But then,I cannot understand either, why the word s**t is not allowed on this site,a site for adults,but people who slanderously accuse an OP of being mentally ill+or a hoaxer,without any proof whatsoever, do not get banned.Go figure.I just put it down to more of the same,in my own personal case.a reply to: signalfire

Yeah I just looked at my post,obviousluy the latin word fenestra causes a glitch when written in the English language.On this site,anyway.Never seen it happen on any other,through the years.

When it happened to me the other day I just wrote it off as the result of my cat stomping across my keyboard for the 20 millionth time.

Did you try window (no cap) with a period?

Look through any window.

I noticed the same thing in one of my posts but by the time i noticed the window. of oppertunity to edit had already closed.

IMO it's because of "window's" uncomfortable similarity to that filthy word meaning, "that noise one's rectum makes when they are canoodling and their partner (or partners) stretches their arm fat across any taught, dry surface..." of course.

Time to steal candy from the kids...

window pane. Had to try, that was the name of a drug in the seventies. I suppose I have to wait to see if it filters.

I have a cat that lays right between the keyboard and monitor and it sticks it's tail on top of the keyboard. The keyboard gets full of hair and I have to bang it upside down quite a bit.
