Honesty (Poem)

Honesty


The wait is simply excruciating ,
Don't like to be standing still.
Will the end result be worth it?
If it's love, then it always will.

Calculating, contemplating,
All these little games we play.
Just to confirm, what we know,
But are just too scared to say.

Please just get to the point already,
I don't have any patience for this,
Present your argument to me,
And we will see what we will be.

If you believe in what we have,
You need to lay it on the line,
Tell me what this is all about,
Cuz eventually I'm gonna find out.

Much better that it comes from you,
And you allow me to freely choose,
Then for me to find out myself,
Or to let me carry around this doubt.

Not the way it is suppose to be,
Me lying to you, you lying to me.
Should be honest with each other,
If we really care for one another.
