Actually, from what I've read, and from people I know, most of the skill sets of those they're sending over (so far, or first) are engineering and medical. They will be mainly constructing mobile hospitals and coordinating distribution of equipment and supplies. Probably also some dead body duty. Of course, they all also have weapons and know how to use them.
