My brother and I have had one of his albums for years and years (those are probably at least 6-8 years old). He's from Kentucky I believe.

Also.. I knew it was Ronald from the title.

Take away the effects and we have another good keyboard player.

And yes, I've shared the stage with a lot of GREAT keyboardists.

Thanks for the VID tho. Still nice to see another.

Peace

No man. He's great. He's still playing all the notes he's just using fx to create a soundscape.

You also arent giving him cresit for the aongs he'a writing. Catchy original tunes with all the bands parts covered.

He sure has a lot of multi-tracking going on. Not all of him by any means...so that rules him out as THE sickest, dopest, or even funkiest.

He plays well to his backing tracks. They are still fx and tracks...behind him.

Id guess he recorded the backing tracks himself. He only has two hands to play with you know. You can hear what he's actually playing and he's killer.

Yes, I do know. Ive got a keyboard rack (Yamaha, Kurziweil, Rhodes, Roland JX3-P, Hammond C3 organ and others) , midi-sequencers, mixers, fx myself. And do all the multi-tracking myself as well. But, thats just the point.

I dont see anything that sets him apart really from all the other real "greats" out there, so I agree with Jude up there^. "Good' is a far cry from the best.

Talent is it's own reward...Ill give him that.

heh I'm suprised there's so many Ronald Jenkees fans here. He's been kicking around for years, good to see he's still going his thing and having fun doing it
He does tend to overuse reverb but some of his tunes are pretty wicked and the obvious enjoyment he gets out of playing is kinda infectious to watch

This one's pretty damned good considering he's making it up as he goes. I find his improvised stuff tends to be better than what's on his albums.

This one's pretty bad ass too

The first thing I thought when I heard the into to the NLBS videos was Ronald Jenkees. Anyone know if that's him or not?

You may like this guy. It's old school, and there is a chance performance enhancers were used.
