What

Now we have a complete contradiction by officials yet again ??

If they could make up their minds about Ebola, maybe people would actually trust somebody once in a while.

Hopefully, this has been mis-understood/mis-interpreted because of a bad phone connection.

Dr. Tom Frieden, director for the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), said during a telephone press briefing Wednesday that you cannot get Ebola by sitting next to someone on a bus, but that infected or exposed persons should not ride public transportation because they could transmit the disease to someone else.

Frieden’s statement came in response to CNSNews.com’s question regarding a video message from President Barack Obama last week addressing Ebola-stricken countries in West Africa, in which the president told residents they “cannot get [Ebola] through casual contact like sitting next to someone on a bus.”

If you sit next to someone with Ebola, the droplets in their breath could infect you. You need to stay about five feet away to be considered safe. It can't live in air without moisture but can survive for a few feet. Stand outside in the cold on a dry winter day and watch your breath and how far it travels. It lasts about two feet before it dissipates.

Sure it can't survive as airborn without moisture, but there is moisture in breath. If it was not the case, how come they need those suits with filters on the air intake and how come the two nurses got it.

This is straight up prevarication on BOTH their parts.....
If it can be transmitted through droplets anyone could get infected on a crowded bus!
Even so.....sweat, blood, spit, vomit etc...even semen can pass the virus on.....so the chances of getting ebola by close proximity though lower perhaps are still significant in my perview.....
correct me if im wrong puleeese!

a reply to: xuenchen

The more he talks ... the more he will contradict himself.

The more he contradicts himself ... the more their BS will unravel.

Give him credit though. He's way better than Jay Carney ever was.
