You're exactly right!

It's not about scraping materialism. I said:

Nobody is saying, scrap materialism. Materialism is very good at explaining the mechanistic process. These Scientist are saying, when a materialistic explanation isn't there, it shouldn't be met with blind ridicule when someone dares to look for answers that may not fit into a materialist paradigm. This is just blind faith in materialism and has no place in scientific exploration.

The problem is the people who blindly adhere to materialism and treat materialism like a religion. There's a lot of things that materialism doesn't answer. Materialist will say just because they can't answer these question doesn't mean you need to fill in the gaps.

This is a silly statement. Of course you need to feel in the gaps instead of leaving them blank because materialism has no answer.

You're not just filling in the gaps with just anything, these Scientist are building theories, carrying out research, doing experiments and making predictions. In other words, SCIENCE.

So the people really filling in the gaps with faith and belief is materialist. They have no answers and these gaps are important because once you start to fill in the gaps you have a better understanding about the nature of reality vs. sticking your head in the sand and having blind faith in materialism.

The reason you have gaps is because materialism as an explanation for many of these things is lacking. These aren't just gaps, there GAPING HOLES.
