Would someone please start a DIY colloidal silver thread?

Hi. I've been reading up on colloidal silver & just successfully treated a skin infection with it. Nothing had worked & I was going to call the Dr for antibiotics tomorrow. But, thankfully, I don't have to now.

I would love it if another, more skilled member would start a thread (or add to this one) with detailed instructions & maybe even pictures.

I have been making my liposomal vitamin C from instructions at the following post & have had fantastic results with it!

Lots of stuff on line for the looking. I've even heard that water barrels used to have silver coins placed in them, and that was enough to keep the water sterile. Apparently it doesn't take much.

You can also use copper or gold, gold being the best choice sterility-wise. I've talked to people who take colloidal gold every day and they swear it makes their brains work better; something about the electrical conductivity of the gold acting on neuronal function. I've never had the colloidal gold to try it though.

It looks like you just started a colloidal silver thread.

I'd like to see some real testing results on the effectiveness of colloidal silver in anti-viral roles.

Everything I find on the internet is typical extreme opinion.

Well, it definitely works as it was used for years and there is evidence to support its functions as well*. Although, it's also shown to cause argyria, and that's a proven fact. Beyond its rather inefficient and sporadic efficacy to fight infections, Id rather get a round of antibiotics should I need them.

I've seen that story. Apparently the guy drank a few thousand times as much as he needed.
You'd think he'd stop when he looked like he was suffering from advanced hypothermia.

I've heard it works very well in some cases. I've also heard it's a big lie.
From everything I've read, I get the feeling it might work but someone really doesn't want that to be public knowledge.

I've heard a lot about it myself but honestly don't have any experience with it just yet. I'm going to do a little investing and see how it turns out, so to speak. When I ventured onto youtube, I discovered that there is a plethora of videos there on this very topic. Here's a pretty simple one for you. Be careful when going into the internet looking for answers. Big Pharma has a lot of incorrect advice.

In a nutshell.

Pure silver rods 99.9% pure.

DO NOT use Sterling Silver, it is dangerous in this application.

A glass jar or similar.

Around 24 to 30 volts of Direct current (DC) power. Does not matter how you get it.

Now for the important bit, you need to control the current. Anything from 5 to 20 milliamps is good. The better quality is achieved at the lower levels.

While it is being made, it needs to be constantly stirred. Stirring devices are great and you can make your own.

Do not use plastics unless they are medical grade. Do not stir with a metal spoon. Glass rods are great as are wooden spoons.

Once made, keep it away from light. Store in a dark place and keep it covered.

I bought a colloidal silver making kit and make my own. I dont know if it works, like so many "natural" or alternative therapies. It isnt hard to make with a proper generator, just follow the instructions. You need distilled or de-ionized water which you can buy from the laundry aisle (at least here you can).

I think you need both electrodes to have the same charge of current to make it, i.e. both positive or both negative. This is what puts the silver out in to the water, otherwise one electrode would just shrink whilst the other would grow?

Well, that's cool! I would have thought people would turn the color of gold infused glass, a nice cranberry. And only on the exposed skin (I presume to sunlight); also fascinating.

Brian Leonard Golightly Marshall was a huge proponent and extensive user of colloidal silver, and he went quite mad, right here on ATS, twelve years ago.

The metal can't be excreted, so I think you are just storing the metal in your body if you are taking it.

Maybe it would be more beneficial to take it as needed instead of on a preemptive schedule.

Liposomal Vit C won't help with Ebola, at least there are no scientific studies that show it.

Colloidal Silver on the other hand was tested in 2010 by US military as curing ebola.

I have googled it just am nervous to do it as I don't want to turn blue or go crazier.

I had one good experience with the stuff & don't plan on taking it unless its necessary.

Do a search for colloidal silver generator, if you buy one you might feel safer about making it. We only use it when necessary, not as a preventative. Thousands of people have taken in on daily basis and not turned blue.
