Here we go...

The Password is "Travel Ban".

EAST BOSTON (WGGB) — Emergency personnel have surrounded an inbound flight at Boston’s Logan International Airport. WCVB-TV reports that the inbound plane – Emirates flight 237 from Dubai – landed at Logan a short time ago and was greeted by medical crews wearing HAZMAT suits. Massport tells WFXT-TV that five passengers on-board are exhibiting flu-like symptoms, but those people were not recently in West Africa.

This isn't that difficult. Where is that pen and phone when we need it.

They say they haven't been to Africa. Who knows ?

But they do all have fevers.

WGGB

Why is it so hard for our government to just say they messed up, and shut down ALL inbound flights from overseas? This stuff is spreading to every country, even Canada, and we need to stop it now. If not, we are in for a long, hard winter, full of infections and death.

Just saw this on the news, and refreshed the page to find your post. Thanks for being on top of it.

this is truly gonna be a logistical nightmare with the flu season coming up....and it is good we take precautions but we are gonna hear the boy cry wolf too many times and become more complacent than we already are

Maybe those passengers haven't been to West Africa, but perhaps the plane they're all on has. Planes are notoriously difficult to decontaminate.

I've had it with the CDC. Here's why:

They go from one extreme to another, I wouldn't think there would be five with Ebola, I wouldn't think anyway

Yes, third world Nations are cleaning these Planes.

Sounds like it's better to just stay home until they get a handle on this.

So glad I don't have to travel for work, and if I did I wouldn't fly or take a bus at this time.

Because Obama doesn't want to do anything that will interfere with his Amnesty scam.
Closing ANY borders...in any way shape or form will not be allowed to happen under his administration.
The man is a political sociopath!

Its so much easier to stop flights OUT of Africa , then to try and figure out whose coming IN from Africa........they could be routed through Europe etc etc etc......

Why doesnt the WHO and and FAA just stop anything coming out of there.......takes the guess work out of a lot of it......

When will this get bad enough........

Oh wait, I know, when its too late

Good point...

But, if you were in Liberia and had been exposed.

You would do absolutely anything to get to America.

Including traveling to an Airport where they are not screening.

Not saying that happened here...But, that's what I would do.

I know you werent replying to me............but if i were there and had been exposed theres no way in HELL I would bring that back to my family.........

Id isolate myself somewhere , call the people who handle it in the area and tell them where the hell im at......

Why the hell would I want to take the chance on giving it to anyone else especially my family?

I do know, however that not everyone is like this

I have to agree. Our government officials, the talking heads at CDC, and even local officials keep telling us we have nothing to worry about. Yet, we have had the first person to catch ebola on US soil, others suspected of bringing it here by lying and circumventing the lame precautions implemented to protect us, and more waiting for the 21 day isolation period to end. It's not working, and the arrogant attitudes of those entrusted to know how to prevent this crap, is getting old.

How many is acceptable to these people before they get off their butt's and do something? Just listened to a doctor explain the CDC does not need to intervene too early, as that may cause undue panic. They want to make sure it is actually Ebola first.

WTF!? At that point it is too late. We are so screwed!

Exactly!

Flying the first few patients in was a bad idea on SO many levels-not the least of which is it put the idea in the head of many at risk people that getting here could save them.

Think about it-youve watched half your family die. How far would you go to protect the other half? Risk exposing others? Risk crossing borders? Risk being patient zero?

A quick little story:

My (scumbag) sister has three kids with three different men.

The youngest of the kids is almost 3. His dad is a liberian native.

his dad has 7 other kids. With multiple women. And what does he do when he is being served with paternity papers? He heads back to liberia for a bit. Then comes back.

He headed that way recently. I guarantee he will be back in a few months, or less.

Some people dont care who they put at risk. Some people only care about themselves.

Thank the authorities for allowing flights to continue.

But I hope it turns out to be just Flight Sickness!!

Guy on twitter was listening to Boston police radio, his tweets line up with what the onboard passenger @barahont was saying.

5 people sick, at least two had fevers (one of which had it for 3 days prior.)

They suited up the people in Tyvek before bringing them off plane.

Flew from Dubai, had visited Mecca + other unconfirmed middle eastern locations.
